# Why is my tour black?

Usually one of four things, so check them in this order:

1. **The scene's pictures are not ready.** A photo whose row in the upload panel is not `Ready` has no picture yet: see [My upload is stuck](https://www.panoramr.com/about/faq#my-upload-is-stuck) and [How a panorama import works](https://www.panoramr.com/help/understanding-the-panorama-zip-import-process).
2. **You replaced the photo** and the stored copy still describes the old one: see [My changes do not show for visitors](https://www.panoramr.com/help/when-do-changes-show).
3. **It is a downloaded copy** that you opened by double-clicking `index.html`: put it on a web server, see [Download a tour as a ZIP](https://www.panoramr.com/help/exporting-tours-for-offline-viewing#why-a-double-click-shows-a-black-screen).
4. **The browser cannot draw the picture** (it has no WebGL): the visitor is offered the text version instead.
