Every control of the Panoramas tab: the scene list, search, groups and Select several, then a scene's name, group, description, location, file and thumbnail.

The Panoramas tab is where you work on one scene at a time: pick it in the list on the left, look at it in the viewer, and set its name, group, description and map location. This page lists each control. To choose where visitors start looking, see [Set the initial view](https://www.panoramr.com/help/setting-the-initial-view-heading-pitch-for-panoramas); to swap the photo, see [Replace or swap a panorama](https://www.panoramr.com/help/replace-or-swap-a-panorama).

**Who can use it.** The owner, and collaborators whose role includes the **Panoramas** tab: Editors and Admins by default. A Viewer does not see the tab.

**Basic and Advanced.** The **Basic** view shows the list, the viewer, **Set Initial View**, the name, group, description, **Replace Original File**, **Blur faces or plates** and the **Panorama Media** tab. The **Advanced** view adds the **Image Adjustments** tab, zoom limits, latitude and longitude, **Custom Thumbnail** and **Camera Metadata (EXIF)**.

**When visitors get a change.** Each field saves when you leave it, and `Saved automatically.` appears under the details. The tour's page is made again at once, unless the tour uses Draft Workflows, which holds the change until **Publish changes** ([My changes do not show for visitors](https://www.panoramr.com/help/when-do-changes-show)).

## The scene list

### Add panoramas

Adds photos to this tour.

**Where:** **Panorama List** tab, the button at the top.
**What it does:** Opens the upload window: choose photos from your computer, or add panoramas you already have in your library. When the upload finishes, the first new scene opens, unless you have clicked another meanwhile. If your plan has no room, a window says why.
**Related:** [Create your first tour in Panoramr](https://www.panoramr.com/help/how-to-create-your-first-360-virtual-tour).

### Search panoramas

Narrows the list as you type.

**Where:** **Panorama List** tab, the box that says `Search panoramas…`.
**What it does:** Keeps the scenes whose name or file name contains your text. While the list is narrowed you can still drag or move rows: the scenes shown change order only among the places they already hold in the whole tour, and every other scene stays where it is. If nothing matches, the list says `No panoramrs found matching` and your text.

### Filter by category

Shows one group of scenes.

**Where:** Beside the search box; it appears once the tour has two groups to choose between. Its name for screen readers is `Filter by category`.
**Default:** **All categories**
**What it does:** Choose a group, or **Ungrouped** (offered while some scene has no group). The filter and the search work together. A group that no longer exists puts the list back to all scenes. Dragging or moving a row while a group is shown reorders the group's scenes among their own places in the tour. When the group's scenes are spread through the tour, `Put … together in the main list` appears beside **Select several**: it moves them into one run where the first of them is, in the order shown, and the other scenes keep their order. On a plan that publishes a limited number of scenes, a row past the limit says `Not published` here too. A group that is **Part of** another is listed under it, indented.
**Related:** [Organize a tour with panorama groups](https://www.panoramr.com/help/organizing-tours-with-panorama-groups).

### Select several

Puts many scenes in one group at once.

**Where:** **Panorama List** tab, under the search box.
**What it does:** Click **Select several**, then click rows to tick them (clicking a row no longer opens it). `3 selected` counts them. **Select all shown** ticks everything the search and filter show, and becomes **Untick all shown**. Choose a group in **Set category…**, or **New category…** and type a name, or **No category (ungrouped)**, then click **Apply**. A group that is **Part of** another is listed under it, indented. Click **Done** to go back to the plain list. All of it is one save.

### Panorama row

One row for each scene.

**Where:** **Panorama List** tab.
**What it does:** Click the name to open the scene. A row shows the name (or the file name when it has none), `N media` when the scene has pictures, videos or documents for the Info and media panel, and its group as a pill: click the pill to change the group, or choose **Ungrouped**. With more than eight groups its menu has a `Find a group` box. You can drag a row to reorder, or use the move buttons. On a tour in a Vault, rows past the Vault's capacity show `Not published`.
**What visitors see:** The order of the scenes in the tour's menus and arrows, and the group names in the menus that list groups.

### Move buttons

Move a scene one place up or down without dragging.

**Where:** At the right of each row.
**What it does:** Saves the new order at once.

### Delete Panorama

The trash icon on a row.

**Where:** The right end of each row; its tooltip is `Delete Panorama`. Shown to the owner and to roles that may delete panoramas.
**What it does:** Opens a window that lists the other tours using the panorama and offers to take it out of this tour only, or to delete it everywhere. **Delete everywhere** asks `Delete this panorama everywhere?` and moves the panorama to the Trash.

## The scene

### Panorama Settings

The first of the two tabs above the viewer. It holds the viewer and the details.

**Where:** Above the viewer.
**What it does:** The viewer shows the scene as visitors will, with the tour's zoom and design. While a new photo is still being prepared it shows `Syncing to Cloud...`. The tab you choose stays as you move from scene to scene, and the address keeps the scene (`?pano=`), so a reload comes back to it.

### Panorama Media

The second tab: the scene's own text and files for the Info and media panel.

**Where:** Above the viewer, next to **Panorama Settings**. A number on the tab counts the files.
**What it does:** Shows the **Panorama description** (the room's About text in the panel) and the pictures, videos, sound and documents of this scene. Open it directly with `?tab=media`.
**Related:** [The Info and media panel](https://www.panoramr.com/help/info-and-media-panel).

### Set Initial View

Saves the way you are looking as the way visitors start.

**Where:** The button over the viewer.
**What it does:** Saves the viewer's direction and zoom for this scene in this tour. It reads `View Set Successfully` for a second.
**Related:** [Set the initial view](https://www.panoramr.com/help/setting-the-initial-view-heading-pitch-for-panoramas).

## The details

### Panorama name

The scene's name in this tour.

**Where:** Below the viewer, on **Panorama Settings**.
**Default:** The name the upload gave it: the photo's file name, made tidy when the upload's **Tidy the names** option was on (`PANO_0412_lobby` becomes `Lobby`).
**What it does:** Saves when you leave the field. This tour keeps its own copy of the name, so the same panorama in another tour keeps the name it has there. The panorama's name in your library changes too. It stops at 100 characters (our team can change this) and says `Character limit reached (100 max)`. With extra languages, it is the name in the language chosen in **Editing**.
**What visitors see:** The scene's name in menus, the room list and the title.

### Group Selection

The group the scene belongs to.

**Where:** Below **Panorama name**. The label reads `Group Selection - Add to or create new group for tour navigation`.
**What it does:** Click to choose a group from the list, or type a new name to make one. A new name is added to the tour's groups. Leave it empty for no group.
**What visitors see:** Menus that list scenes by group.
**Related:** [Organize a tour with panorama groups](https://www.panoramr.com/help/organizing-tours-with-panorama-groups).

### Panorama description

A few words about the scene.

**Where:** Below **Group Selection**, and again on **Panorama Media**.
**What it does:** Saves when you leave the box. It stops at 300 words (our team can change the limit); the counter under it turns red at the limit. It is the same text on both tabs.
**What visitors see:** The scene's About text in the Info and media panel.

### Latitude and Longitude

Where the scene is on the map.

**Where:** Below **Panorama description**. Advanced view. The button with the tooltip `Open Map to Set Location` opens a map to click on.
**Default:** Empty.
**What it does:** Type degrees (latitude -90 to 90, longitude -180 to 180) or pick on the map. Both are needed for a point. The location belongs to the panorama, so it changes in every tour that uses it.
**What visitors see:** A pin on the tour's map, if the tour shows one.

### Use where the photo was taken

Fills the location from the photo's own position.

**Where:** Under the coordinates, for your own panoramas whose photo has a recorded position. Advanced view. It disappears once the location is that spot.
**What it does:** Sets the map location to where the camera recorded the photo. Only you can see the camera's position: `Only you can see where it was taken. The map location is shown in the tour.`

### Use for every panorama in this tour

Does the same for all your panoramas in the tour.

**Where:** Under the coordinates, when the tour has more than one panorama and at least one would change. Advanced view.
**What it does:** Asks `Use where each photo was taken?` and says how many have no location, how many were set by hand (kept unless you tick `Also replace the locations that were set by hand`), how many are already there, and how many have no position. Click `Set` and the number of locations. A line then says what changed, with **Undo** right after.

## The file

### File tools

Two buttons about the scene's photo.

**Where:** Below the details, on **Panorama Settings**.
**What it does:** **Replace Original File** opens the replace window ([Replace or swap a panorama](https://www.panoramr.com/help/replace-or-swap-a-panorama)). **Blur faces or plates** opens the blur tool for this photo. A note shows what a blur has done. A small card, `Geometry Core` (Advanced view), says whether the photo is `Tiled Multi-Resolution` or `Standard Pipeline (WebP)`.

### Custom Thumbnail

A picture of your own for the scene's thumbnail.

**Where:** Below the file tools. Advanced view.
**What it does:** Click **Upload Thumbnail** to choose a JPEG, PNG or WebP of up to 5 MB. It replaces the generated thumbnail in galleries and lists, and is kept when the copies of the photo are made again.

### Camera Metadata (EXIF)

What the camera recorded.

**Where:** Last on the tab. Advanced view.
**What it does:** Lists the camera's details for the photo, with its size in pixels (Width and Height) for a photo uploaded since 31 October 2026, or says `No EXIF metadata detected for this panorama.` It is for reading only.

## The library's own page

### Panorama page in the Media library

Every panorama also has a page of its own in your library.

**Where:** The **Asset library** tab (**Media library**), by opening a panorama.
**What it does:** A viewer with the panorama, and its details: **Title**, `Filename`, location, `Uploaded`, **Associated Tours** (links to each tour), `Published on App`, **Description**, and **Camera Metadata (EXIF)**. **Edit** makes the title, **Search Location**, **Latitude**, **Longitude** and **Description** editable, and **Save** saves them. Only the owner (or our team) can open the page.
**Related:** [Upload and manage files in the Asset Library](https://www.panoramr.com/help/the-asset-library).

## Troubleshooting

**I changed the name and it is different in another tour.** A scene's name, description, group, starting view and zoom limits belong to the tour. The picture and the map location belong to the panorama and are the same in every tour that uses it.

**The viewer shows the old photo after I replaced it.** The page rebuilds the viewer when a replacement finishes. If it did not, reload; the address keeps the scene.

**Some scenes say `Not published`.** The tour is in a Vault that holds fewer panoramas than the tour has. The scenes past the Vault's room are not published.
