What the Check your inbox page and the bar at the top do: the buttons, the link that lasts a week, and what an unconfirmed account can still use.

Panoramr asks you to confirm your email address by clicking a link in a mail. This page lists what is on the **Check your inbox** page and in the bar at the top of the other pages, what the link does, and what you can use until you click it. To make an account first, see [Sign up, confirm your email and sign in](https://www.panoramr.com/help/sign-up-and-verify-email).

**Who can use it.** Every account made with an email and a password, and every account made with Facebook or Microsoft. An account made with Google that Google reports as confirmed is confirmed at once and never sees this page.

**How strict it is.** Panoramr's team sets this for the whole site. With *required*, you see only the **Check your inbox** page, **My profile** and **Log Out** until you click the link. With *soft*, you can use the app, but not invite people, publish, host, post or buy. The bar at the top tells you which applies: see [What the bar says](https://www.panoramr.com/help/email-verification#what-the-bar-says).

**The link.** It is in the email whose subject begins `Welcome to Panoramr` and reads **Confirm my email address**. It is good for 7 days and works in any browser, signed in or not. It does not sign anyone in: if you are signed in in that browser you go on to the Dashboard, and if not you land on the **Log in** page with `Your email address is verified. Please log in.` A welcome email follows. A **Check your inbox** page still open in another tab, or on a computer while you click the link on your phone, notices within a few seconds, says `Email confirmed. Taking you on…` and moves on by itself.

## The Check your inbox page

The page shows the address the link was sent to, in bold, and a line that says it is waiting for you to click it.

### Open Gmail

A shortcut to your mailbox.

**Where:** the blue button at the top of the **Check your inbox** page.
**Default:** Shown only for a Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud or Proton address. The button is named after the provider: `Open Gmail`, `Open Outlook`, `Open Yahoo Mail`, `Open iCloud Mail` or `Open Proton Mail`. A company address gets no button.
**What it does:** Opens your webmail in a new tab. **Open Gmail** searches every folder, spam included, for mail from Panoramr.
**What visitors see:** Nothing. This page is only for you.
**Needs:** A webmail address from one of those providers.
**Related:** **Resend link**.

### Resend link

Send the confirmation email again.

**Where:** under **Open Gmail**, or as the main button when there is none. After a link goes out it counts down `(30s)` before it can be clicked.
**Default:** Waits 30 seconds after a link went out. After an expired link it can be clicked at once.
**What it does:** Sends a new link. The page says `Another link is on its way to` and your address. Do not ask more than six times in a minute: the site then answers `Too Many Requests` until the minute is up. Each link expires after 7 days.
**What visitors see:** Nothing.
**Needs:** To be signed in. The email can take a minute; look in Spam or Promotions.

### Wrong address? Change it

Fix a mistyped email address.

**Where:** the link at the bottom of the **Check your inbox** page.
**Default:** Not applicable.
**What it does:** Opens **My profile**. Change **Email** under **My details** and click **Save Profile**. Panoramr emails a link to the new address. An unconfirmed account does not need its password for this.
**What visitors see:** Nothing.
**Needs:** To be signed in.

### Log Out

Leave the page without confirming.

**Where:** the link at the bottom of the **Check your inbox** page.
**Default:** Not applicable.
**What it does:** Signs you out of this browser. Sign in again later to get back to the page.
**What visitors see:** Nothing.
**Needs:** To be signed in.

## What the bar says

The bar sits above every page once you are signed in with an address that is not confirmed. It has two links.

### Send me a new link

The bar's version of **Resend link**.

**Where:** the right of the bar.
**Default:** Not applicable.
**What it does:** Sends a new link and changes to `A new link is on its way.`
**What visitors see:** Nothing.
**Needs:** To be signed in.
**Related:** **Resend link**.

### Wrong address?

The bar's version of **Wrong address? Change it**.

**Where:** the right of the bar, beside **Send me a new link**.
**Default:** Not applicable.
**What it does:** Opens **My profile** to change the address.
**What visitors see:** Nothing.
**Needs:** To be signed in.
**Related:** **Wrong address? Change it**.

The bar's words say where you stand:

| The bar says | What you can do |
|---|---|
| `Please confirm your email address by <date>: we have sent you a link. After that date you will need it to keep using your account.` | Your account was here before confirming was required, so it has until that date. Until then everything works except inviting people, handing a tour over to a client, and posting, uploading and commenting on the social site. |
| `Confirm your email address to invite people, publish, post and buy. We have sent you a link.` | The app and its editor work. Held: inviting collaborators, posting and commenting, **Publish changes**, **Deploy Draft to Live**, buying a plan or a Vault, handing a tour over, publishing to Google Street View, and uploading to the Asset Library. |
| `Your email address is not confirmed yet. Confirm it to use your account: we have sent you a link.` | Only the confirmation page, **My profile** (its details form and **Delete Account**) and **Log Out**. Every other page sends you to **Check your inbox**. The marketing pages and published tours are not affected. |

If you made the account while buying, the bar counts down the hours you have after paying: see [Sign up, confirm your email and sign in](https://www.panoramr.com/help/sign-up-and-verify-email#if-you-made-the-account-while-buying).

## Troubleshooting

**The email does not arrive.** Wait a minute, then look in Spam or Promotions. Check that the address in bold is yours; if not, click **Wrong address? Change it**. Then click **Resend link**.

**The link says it has expired.** Links last 7 days. The **Check your inbox** page says `That link has expired or is not valid. We can send you a new one.` Click **Resend link**; it is ready at once.

**The link shows an error page.** The link was made for an address the account no longer has. Ask for a new link.

**Every page sends me to Check your inbox.** The site is set to *required*. Confirm the address, or click **Log Out**.

**A tour I was invited to is not in my dashboard.** The invitation waits until the address it was sent to is confirmed.
