Accessibility Statement

Last updated 6 October 2026.

This statement covers the Panoramr website, including the Help Center, and the 360° tour player that shows every Panoramr tour, on our pages and when a tour is embedded on another site. It does not yet cover the tour editor and the other pages you use when you are signed in.

How accessible it is

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we do not claim full conformance yet. On 6 October 2026 we checked every public page of the website with automated tests in light mode, dark mode and at phone size, went through the pages and the tour player with a keyboard, and fixed what we found. We have not yet had the site tested by people who use a screen reader.

In a tour

With a keyboard

  • Tab moves through the tour's buttons, its list of rooms and the hotspots in the room. The item that has focus has an outline.
  • Enter or Space opens or follows the hotspot that has focus. Esc closes an open popup.
  • While the picture has focus, the arrow keys look around and the + and - keys zoom. The picture gets focus back each time you go to another room.

With a screen reader

  • The picture is labelled with the room's name or description, and each change of room is announced, for example "Entered panorama: Kitchen".
  • A link hotspot is read as "Go to" and the name of its room, and an info hotspot by its title.
  • Room names, descriptions and picture descriptions are written by the tour's owner, so how helpful they are depends on them.

The text version

Every tour has a text version: its rooms in order, each with its picture, its description, links to the rooms it leads to and the text of its info hotspots. "Text version of this tour" is the first thing Tab reaches after a tour opens. A tour can also show an accessibility icon that opens it, and you can add ?accessibility=true to the address of a tour on Panoramr.

The text version does not list video hotspots, media placed on walls, the floor plan, the map or the menus, and its own headings are in English only. A tour that has been downloaded and is hosted somewhere else has no text version.

Less motion

If your device is set to reduce motion, moving to another room is an instant cut, hotspot animations do not play, and a tour does not turn by itself.

Zoom

You can zoom the page that holds a tour with two fingers or with your browser's zoom. A tour published before 6 October 2026 may still stop pinch zoom on a phone until it is published again.

On the website

  • Each page starts with a "Skip to the content" link, and has headings and named regions to move around by.
  • The cookie banner comes first in the page, and nothing that has keyboard focus is hidden under it.
  • Pages work in light and dark mode, at phone size and zoomed in, and their text meets the contrast WCAG asks for in both modes.
  • Our videos with speech have captions in the picture and play only when you start them. The short silent clips beside "Check your inbox" after you sign up stay still if your device asks for less motion.
  • Form fields have labels, and an error is read out and tied to the field it is about.

What is not accessible yet

  • The tour editor and the other pages you use when signed in have not been checked. Some of their fields are labelled only by their placeholder text, and some of their text does not meet the contrast WCAG asks for.
  • A tour that turns by itself and shows no Autorotate button starts turning again after a few seconds without input, unless your device asks for less motion. Its owner can show the button or switch Autorotate off.
  • The silent clips beside "Check your inbox" play one after another and pause only under the mouse pointer: there is no pause button yet.
  • Videos, audio and pictures that tour owners add may have no captions or descriptions.
  • The check that our forms use to stop spam is Cloudflare's, and we cannot change how it works.
