Virtual tours for hotels and resorts
Let guests walk through your rooms, suites, spa and restaurant before they book. A 360° tour on your own website answers “what is the room really like?”, and keeps the booking with you.
In short
A hotel virtual tour is a set of 360° photos of your rooms and spaces, linked so a guest can walk from the lobby to a suite on your website. With Panoramr you upload the photos, design the tour in your brand and embed it on your site. Making the tour is free; hosting it without Panoramr’s branding costs from £36 a year, in a Vault of up to 36 photos.
- Photos needed

How hotels use a 360° tour
Sell the room before the booking
Guests compare room types, look out of the window and into the bathroom, and arrive knowing what they booked.
Keep the booking direct
The tour plays on your own website, beside your booking engine, and a button in the tour can take guests straight to it.
Weddings, meetings and events
Planners walk through the function rooms, the terrace and the bridal suite before they ask for a visit.
Guests from abroad
Translate the room names and notes into Spanish, French, German, Chinese or Arabic, and let guests switch with one click.
What to photograph
One 360° photo for each place a guest would stand. Shoot rooms made up and lit, with the curtains open.
How to take the photos- The entrance and the approach from the car park
- Reception and the lobby
- Each room type, from just inside the door
- The best suites’ bathrooms and balconies
- The view from a high floor or the terrace
- Restaurant, bar and breakfast room
- Spa, pool, sauna and gym
- Meeting and function rooms, laid out for an event
- Gardens, terraces and the wedding lawn
- The corridors that link the wings
Two ways to get the photos
A tour is a 360° photo of each space, linked together. Who takes them is up to you.
Hire a professional
A 360° photographer shoots each space and hands you the photos. Many build the whole tour in Panoramr too, and hand it over to your account, ready to publish.
Best for the whole property at once, or before a relaunch.
Take your own
With a 360° camera and a tripod, one press takes a whole room. Export the photos from the camera’s app and upload them.
Best for keeping rooms up to date after a refit, one shot at a time.
What hotels use most
Booking and shop buttons
A Book Now button in the top menu, or a link hotspot in each room, sends guests to your booking engine. (The tour has no booking form of its own.)
How it worksFloors and areas
Group the rooms into floors, wings or the spa, so a guest goes straight to the suites or the pool.
How it worksFloor plan with a live map
Upload a floor plan and pin each room on it. Visitors see a small map in a corner, with a cone that shows which way they are looking.
How it worksFive more languages
Translate the tour into Spanish, French, German, Chinese or Arabic. Visitors switch with one click on a paid plan or a hosted tour.
How it worksOpen on the best view
Open each room on its best side: the bed and the window, not the wardrobe.
How it worksVideo in the scene
Open a YouTube, Vimeo or MP4 video in a window, or play it on a screen or a wall inside the photo itself.
How it worksReshoot one room
Refurbished a floor? Replace those rooms’ photos and their hotspots stay where they were.
How it worksVisitor numbers
Each tour’s Analytics tab counts its unique visitors, and Global Analytics adds up all your tours. Search engines’ robots are not counted.
How it works
How a hotel tour is made
- 1
Upload your photos
Open Create Tour, give the tour a name and drop your photos in. No sign-up and no card. They are prepared in your browser, and the tour uploads by itself when they are ready.
- 2
Design it
Choose a theme, then make it yours: colours, menus, buttons and the look of each hotspot. Choose where visitors start looking in each room.
- 3
Link the rooms
Add hotspots so visitors can walk from one room to the next, and add text, pictures, video or a floor plan where they help.
- 4
Keep it
Create a free account and the tour is yours. A guest tour is deleted after 2 days.
- 5
Put it online
Publish it free with Panoramr’s branding, or buy a Vault for it to take the branding off.
- 6
Share it
Paste its embed code into your website, and send its link by email or post it on social media.
What it costs to put it online
Making and previewing the tour is free, Pro themes included. You pay only to host it without Panoramr’s branding. A group of hotels hosts every property together on a plan.

Questions
How much does a hotel virtual tour cost?
Making the tour in Panoramr is free. Hosting it without our branding costs from £36 a year, in a Vault of up to 36 photos. A group can host every hotel on the Pro or Agency plan instead. A photographer’s fee, if you hire one, is set by them.
How many 360° photos does a hotel tour need?
One for each place a guest would stand: usually 20 to 40 for a hotel, more for a resort with grounds. Start with the rooms guests book most and add the rest later.
Can guests book from inside the tour?
They can click through to your booking page from a button in the top menu or a link hotspot in a room. The tour has no booking form of its own, so the booking stays in your own system.
Can I put the tour on my own website?
Yes. Copy the embed code from the tour’s Publish tab and paste it into your page, in WordPress, Squarespace, Wix or any other site. Guests never leave your website.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. Guests drag or turn the phone to look round, and tap to walk from room to room. The same tour works on tablets and computers.
Can we keep it up to date after a refurbishment?
Yes. Replace a room’s photo and the tour keeps its hotspots and links, so one new shot updates the room.
Ways to share it
On your own website
Copy the embed code from the tour’s Publish tab and paste it into your page. It works with WordPress, Squarespace, Wix and most other sites.
How to embed a tourBy its link
Send the tour’s address by email, put it in a booking confirmation or a newsletter, or post it on social media.
On Explore
Panoramr’s gallery of tours, with buttons to share yours on X, Facebook, LinkedIn and by email. A free tour is always listed there; a hosted one only if you want.
Only with your team
Keep it private while you work on it, and invite colleagues or your web designer to view or edit it with you.
