How do I make my tour load faster?
Last checked 29 October 2026
Panoramr has no speed, GPU or hardware-acceleration setting, so what you can change is the content. Panoramr measures no loading times, so it cannot tell you which of these is slowing a given tour.
Add photos through the tour upload window, which cuts each one into tiles so the player loads only the sizes the visitor's screen needs. A scene without tiles loads its whole picture instead: select it on the Panoramas tab and look at Geometry Core under Panorama Settings in the Advanced view. If it reads Standard Pipeline (WebP), Replace Original File with the photo in the upload window to make tiles.
Keep the number of published scenes in mind. A tour of up to 24 scenes asks for the first picture of every scene when it opens, so the requests at the start grow with the scenes; a bigger tour loads the room on screen and the rooms it links to first. Video, audio and embedded pages in the first room also add to the start.
Visitors get a stored copy of the page, kept for 30 days, so the first visit after a change takes a moment longer while it is built. What affects how a tour loads, and what you can change has the details.
