My changes do not show for visitors
Visitors, Explore or an embed still show an old version of your tour: which edits refresh the page they get, and how to refresh it.

The short answer
Visitors do not get your tour straight from the editor. They get a stored copy of its page, kept for 30 days. Most saves replace that copy, some edits do not, and with Draft Workflows on none do until you click Publish Changes. To refresh it, click Save Changes on the Tour tab or Save Properties on the Settings tab (in the Advanced view), or Publish Changes if Draft Workflows is on.
What you see and what visitors get
The Preview tab and the Design page build a fresh page from the editor every time, so they always show your latest edits. Visitors, the Explore page and embeds get the stored copy. To see what they get, open the player address inside the Web Embed Code in a new tab, or open the tour's Explore page and click the play button on its picture. A visit counts as a view and, if no stored copy exists, builds one.
Which edits refresh the stored copy
With Draft Workflows off, these refresh it at once:
- A save on the Design tab (Save & Render), the Settings tab (Save Properties, adding or removing a tour language, and changes to Panorama Groups) or the Publish tab (Save Settings, Hide Tripod Cap (Nadir Patch) and Hide Startup Splash Screen).
- The Tour tab's name, description, category, Tour Link (Vanity URL), Mark as featured tour box, and a panorama chosen as the tour's thumbnail.
- Saving a panorama in the Panoramrs or Hotspots tab: hotspots, name, description, group, initial view and image adjustments. This refreshes every tour that uses the panorama. The Hotspots tab saves by itself half a second after each change.
- Adding, changing, removing or reordering media under Panorama Media or Tour media on the Panoramrs tab (the Info & Media Panel). A panorama's media refreshes every tour that uses the panorama.
- Applying or resetting a theme, using Restore in Undo history, and applying a saved design to other tours.
- The Branding page of a hosted tour (the link Add your logo and words in the Hosting pane of the Publish tab): Save Branding, a logo upload and Remove Custom Logo.
- Putting a tour in a Vault, taking it out, or a change to its end date (extending it, or a payment that renews it). This refreshes the copy even with Draft Workflows on.
- Swapping a scene's panorama, and Replace Original File, which refreshes every tour that uses the panorama (replace or swap a panorama).
- Publish Changes and Deploy Draft to Live.
These do not refresh it, so they can wait up to 30 days to reach visitors:
- Adding scenes, by upload or from your library; removing a scene from the tour or moving it to the trash; restoring one; and reordering the scenes.
- Floor plans.
- Replacing a file in the Asset Library.
Changing your plan, or a Vault running out, needs no refresh. A tour that wears a Pro theme has two stored pages, one in your design and one in the free Default look, and each visit gets the one the tour is entitled to, so the design changes at once. Panoramr's branding is not part of either page: it follows the tour's hosting each time somebody opens the tour, so it changes at once too. With Draft Workflows on, the page stays the one you published, so the design changes when you click Publish Changes.
Refresh the stored copy
- Draft Workflows off. Click Save Changes on the Tour tab, or Save Properties on the Settings tab (in the Advanced view). Both buttons are always available, and the save refreshes the copy even when nothing has changed. If the tour's name box is empty, because the editing language has no name yet, the save fails: set Editing: to English (Default) and save again.
- Draft Workflows on. Click Publish Changes.
- Neither is open to you. An Editor cannot save the Tour or Settings tab: save a hotspot or rename a panorama, which refreshes the copy too. A Viewer can only ask the owner.
After either, open the tour once: open its player address, or open its Explore page and click the play button on the picture. The first visit builds the new copy, so it can take a moment longer.
Troubleshooting
Visitors still see the old tour. Check three things. Does the tab row show Draft Mode Active? Then click Publish Changes. Is your edit in the second list above? Then refresh the copy as described above. After you refresh, open the tour in a new tab to check.
New scenes do not appear. Adding a scene does not refresh the copy. Refresh it. If some scenes are still missing, the tour is over its publish limit: see Why can't I publish my tour?.
A replaced picture, a swapped scene or a new floor plan looks old. A replacement and a swap refresh the copy, unless Draft Workflows is on: then click Publish Changes, because after a replacement the published page still names the old picture's files, which are deleted. A new floor plan does not refresh the copy. Refresh it.
The Explore page shows the new name, but the tour inside it is old. The name, description, category and thumbnail on that page come from the tour's record and change when you save. The player inside it is the stored copy. With Draft Workflows on, click Publish Changes.
My design shows in the editor but visitors see the free Default look. The tour wears a Pro theme, the account that owns it is on a Free plan and the tour has never been hosted. The Design tab says so over the preview. Choose a free theme, or host the tour or move to a paid plan, and the next visit gets your design. The editor always shows your design. See Fix embed problems and Vault hosting.
It is up to date on Panoramr but old on my website. The page that holds the embed is outside Panoramr. Reload it, and clear that page's own cache if your website keeps one.
Saving shows an error and nothing refreshes. A save that fails does not refresh the copy. Fix what the message says, then save again.
