The short answer
A Vault hosts one tour. While it runs, the tour goes without Panoramr's branding, shows your own design, can be embedded on other websites, and you choose whether it is private, published by its link, or listed on Explore. You buy a Vault for the number of panoramas the tour needs: 10, 36, 100 or 250. You do not need a plan, and a Vault does not change the plan you have.
Sizes and prices
Prices are in pounds sterling. No VAT is charged: the company that sells Panoramr is not registered for VAT, so the price you see is the price you pay. If that changes, VAT will be added to the price of payments made after the change. See VAT, invoices and refunds.
| Vault | Holds | 1 year | 3 years | 5 years | A panorama a year (on the 1-year price) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vault 10 | 10 panoramas | £19 | £49 | £75 | £1.90 |
| Vault 36 | 36 panoramas | £36 | £70 | £99 | £1.00 |
| Vault 100 | 100 panoramas | £59 | £109 | £149 | £0.59 |
| Vault 250 | 250 panoramas | £99 | £189 | £249 | £0.40 |
You can pay once for 1, 3 or 5 years, or let a Vault renew by itself every year. See Pay once, or pay by the year. A tour with more than 250 panoramas does not fit the biggest Vault: contact us.
What a Vault gives the tour
- No Panoramr branding. Panoramr's start screen and the "Created using" patch over the tripod are not shown. You can put your own logo and words on the patch: see Add your own branding to a hosted tour.
- Your own design. Visitors get the tour in the design you chose, a Pro theme included, even on a Free account. A Vault is hosting, not a download: the files of your own design come with a paid plan, see Download a tour as a ZIP and host it on your own server.
- Other websites. The tour plays inside other websites through an embed code, with no Panoramr branding, and it can be published by link only. (A tour listed on Explore can be embedded without a Vault, with Panoramr's branding.)
- You decide who sees it. On the tour's Publish tab, Hosting has the Published box: anyone with the link can open the tour, and it is not listed on Explore. To list it on Explore as well, tick Publish to Global Showcase on the Overview tab, then click Save Settings.
- Room. A Vault holds all the panoramas it is sized for, and adds that many to the number your account can hold. Each size also adds room to the asset library: 500 MB for Vault 10, 1 GB for Vault 36, 2.5 GB for Vault 100 and 5 GB for Vault 250.
A tour goes into a Vault as a whole. If it has more panoramas than the Vault holds, it does not go in, and the page says how many it has and which size would hold it.
Where to buy one
- Click Vaults in the top bar for the sizes, what each is typically used for and the prices, then Buy a Vault on the size you want.
- On a tour, open the Publish tab, then Hosting, and click Buy a Vault for this tour. The page opens with the tour chosen and the smallest size that holds it. When the payment is done the tour is already in the Vault.
- You can buy a Vault before you have a tour: see Buy a Vault before you have a tour.
These buttons are there while we have the Vault store switched on. Payment is on Stripe's page. Your email address has to be confirmed first: see Why can't I publish my tour?.
Put a tour in a Vault, and take it out
- Open the tour, click Publish, then Hosting.
- If you have an empty Vault that fits, the card lists it under
You have an empty Vault that fits. Click Put this tour in it. - The tour is published at once. It is on Explore only if you had already ticked Publish to Global Showcase. Untick Published and click Save Settings to keep it private.
You can also click your name or picture at the top right (on a narrow screen, the menu button), then My Account and My Vaults, open a Vault, and choose a tour there. Take it out unpublishes the tour. While an offer to hand the tour over is open, the Vault cannot be taken out of the tour or moved: withdraw the offer first. If it is listed on Explore it stays listed there with Panoramr's branding: untick Publish to Global Showcase first if you want it private. A Vault can be put in another tour once every 7 days, whether you use Move the Vault or take the tour out and put the Vault in another, so one Vault cannot host a row of tours in turn. Only the tour's owner can put a tour in a Vault or take it out.
Moving a tour to the trash takes it out of its Vault, so a window asks what the Vault does next. Choose Apply another tour to put the Vault in another of your tours that is in no Vault and fits it, or Leave the Vault empty. Nothing is chosen to start with, and Move to Trash stays grey until you choose, unless Apply another tour is greyed: then Leave the Vault empty is already chosen. The other tour is greyed, with the reason, while the wait above is running, after the Vault has ended, and while an offer to hand the tour over is open (withdraw the offer first). Leaving the Vault empty is always possible, and it starts the wait in the same way. Somebody the owner lets delete the tour sees only Leave the Vault empty.
Restoring the tour from the Trash tab of the Asset Library never puts it back in a Vault, whichever you chose: the Vault may have another tour by then. Put it in from the Vault's page or its Hosting tab. Putting the tour you took out back into the same Vault needs no wait. A Vault never hosts two tours.
What a Vault does not do
- It does not make a tour bigger than the Vault, and it does not hold two tours.
- It does not change your plan, your seats or your other tours.
- A Vault that renews by itself is billed to your card, so it cannot go to another person with a tour. A Vault paid for once can: see Hand a tour over to a client.
- It gives no custom domain. Tours are served from Panoramr's own addresses.
If you bought a My Venue term
My Venue was the earlier name for hosting one tour for a set number of years. A term you bought is a Vault now: the same tour, the same end date, and nothing changes for visitors. It is listed under My Vaults. A term for a tour with more panoramas than its size holds is made the smallest Vault that holds the tour, at no charge. Extend it or make it bigger from its page, as for any Vault: see Make a Vault longer or bigger.
Troubleshooting
I paid but the Vault is not there. Open My Vaults (click your name or picture, then My Account). If the page says Your payment is still being confirmed, your Vault appears there once the payment is confirmed. If nothing appears, contact us with the date and the amount.
The tour will not go in the Vault. The message says why: This tour has N panoramas and the Vault holds M. means you need a bigger Vault, and This tour is in another Vault already. means take it out of that one first.
The tour still shows Panoramr's branding. The Vault has ended, or the tour is not in it. The Vault's page shows its state: see What happens when a Vault ends.
I cannot find the Vaults link or a Buy button. Vaults can be bought only while we have the store switched on. While it is off, the Vaults link, the Buy buttons and the Buy a Vault page are not there. Contact us if you need one.
