Share a tour: draft, published and Explore
Publish a tour on Explore or from hosting, keep it private or unlisted, find its link and embed code, and see what is not offered: no password or custom domain.

The short answer
A new tour is a draft that only you and the people you invite can open. There are two ways to let others open it. List it on Explore: tick Publish to Global Showcase on the tour's Publish tab, which any account can do, with Panoramr's branding. Host it: put it in your plan's hosting or in a Vault. A tour in plan hosting stays private until you tick Published on the Hosting tab; a tour you put in a Vault is published at once. Published means the tour opens by its link and in an embed, with or without being listed on Explore. A published tour opens for anyone who has its address. Panoramr has no password and no custom domain.
Who can do it
- Only the owner can tick or untick Publish to Global Showcase, Published and the other publishing boxes, and only the owner can put a tour in hosting or in a Vault. If an Admin collaborator changes one, saving shows
Only the tour owner can change this setting.By default an Admin collaborator can open the Publish tab. - Inviting someone needs a confirmed email address on your own account. Until then Share sends you to the Check your inbox page: see Why can't I publish my tour?.
- Listing on Explore is on every plan, and ticking the box does not ask you to pay. A tour that has never been hosted shows Panoramr's branding and plays on other websites on every plan. On an account on the Free plan it shows your design while the tour is in a free theme, the Default Theme, and the free Default look while it is in a Pro theme. On a paid plan it shows your design in any theme. A tour that is, or was, in a Vault or in plan hosting shows your design in any theme on any plan, and Panoramr's branding is off while the hosting runs. See Free publishing, plan hosting or a Vault.
- The tour must fit: free publishing holds up to 250 panoramas in up to 10 tours, and a plan or a Vault holds what it is sized for. A tour goes in whole; a stored copy built earlier can stay for up to 30 days (see My changes do not show for visitors).
- The plan that counts is the plan of the account that owns the tour.
- A tour in a guest account (made on Create Tour without signing up) stays a private draft: the Publish tab is gray until you click Create a free account, and the tour comes with you.
Publish to the Global Showcase
- Open the tour and click the Publish tab (what each tab does). The Overview pane opens first.
- Under Global Showcase, tick Publish to Global Showcase. A Showcase Category list appears. It starts on Real Estate when the tour has no category yet.
- Click Save Settings. The button stays gray until you change something.
Saved successfully.appears beside it for a moment.
The tour now opens for anyone, is listed on Explore and on your public creator profile, and has its own page at panoramr.com/explore/<name>. Explore opens with the newest tours first; choose Most viewed in its order list to see the most viewed first. To pin a tour to the top of your profile, tick Mark as featured tour on the Tour tab (in the Advanced view). A listed tour that is marked featured can also be the one featured card at the top of Explore, which shows the newest featured tour of everybody.
To take the tour off Explore, untick the box and save. Unless the tour is hosted and Published is ticked, visitors then see Tour not published and This tour is private: its owner has not published it.
Find the link to send
The editor has no button that copies a tour's link. These are the addresses:
| Address | Where to find it | Opens when |
|---|---|---|
The Explore page, panoramr.com/explore/<name> |
Tour tab (in the Advanced view), Tour Link (Vanity URL) | The tour is in the Global Showcase |
| The same page, from its share button | Open the Explore page and use its share button: a Share Tour window shows the link, a Copy button and buttons for X, Facebook, LinkedIn and Email (a phone that supports it opens its own share sheet instead) | The tour is in the Global Showcase |
The player on its own, hosting.panoramr.com/projects/<number>/serve |
Inside the Web Embed Code on the Publish tab | The tour is in the Global Showcase, or is hosted and Published is ticked |
To change the Explore name, type in Tour Link (Vanity URL) (on the Tour tab, in the Advanced view). It takes up to 50 characters: lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens (spaces become hyphens). Click outside the box to save it. If the name is taken, a red message appears under the box and the old name stays. The old name redirects to the new one.
The player address contains the tour's number, so a published tour is public even if you never post its link.
Put the tour on your own website
Copy the Web Embed Code from the Publish tab and paste it into your page: the embed guide has the steps. A published tour plays inside another website on every plan. A tour that has never been hosted carries Panoramr's branding there; put the tour in a Vault or in your plan's hosting to take it off. A tour in your plan's hosting also needs Published ticked, and a tour that is not published shows Tour not published. A tour in a Pro theme shows the free Default look until it is hosted or its owner is on a paid plan: the card on the Publish tab says so.
What is not offered
- Password. A tour is private, published by its link, or listed on Explore. Who can see a tour explains the three.
- Custom domain. A tour is always served from Panoramr's own addresses. To show one under your own address, embed it in a page on your site.
- MLS link. Panoramr has no MLS-specific link or version of a tour.
Show a draft to a client
- Open the tour's Settings tab (click Advanced at the right end of the tab row first if the tab is not there). Only the owner sees Project Collaborators.
- Type their Email Address, choose an Access Level (Viewer is read-only) and click Share.
- They need an account with a confirmed email address. Until they have one the invitation waits, and it is good for 14 days.
They sign in, open the tour from the Shared tab of My Tours, and use the Preview tab. If the client should own the tour and pay for its hosting, hand it over; if you keep hosting it, see Keep hosting a client's tour yourself.
Troubleshooting
Visitors see Tour not published and This tour is private: its owner has not published it. The tour is not published. Tick Publish to Global Showcase and save, or host it and tick Published. Putting a tour in your plan's hosting does not publish it by itself; putting it in a Vault does (untick Published to keep it private).
The Explore address shows a 404 page. The tour is not in the Global Showcase, or our team has put it on hold. Check the name against Tour Link (Vanity URL).
Visitors still see an old version. Some edits do not refresh the page visitors get: see My changes do not show for visitors.
I cannot tick the box, or saving shows an error. See Why can't I publish my tour?
