For 3D artists and studios

Virtual tours from 360° renders and CGI

Render a 360° panorama from each viewpoint of your scene and Panoramr turns them into a walk-through: a building before it is built, an interior before the refit, a game world to explore.

In short

Most 3D tools can render a spherical, or equirectangular, panorama: Blender, V-Ray, Corona, Lumion, Twinmotion, Enscape and Unreal Engine among them. Export it as a JPEG or TIFF exactly twice as wide as it is tall, up to 23,000 × 11,500 pixels, and Panoramr treats it like a photo: link the viewpoints, add notes and materials, and share or embed the tour.

Exporting renders for Panoramr

  1. 1

    Use a spherical camera

Choose your renderer’s 360°, spherical or equirectangular panorama camera, at eye height (about 1.6 m), level.

  2. 2

    Render 2:1

Set the output exactly twice as wide as it is tall, such as 8192 × 4096 or 12000 × 6000.

  3. 3

    Save as JPEG or TIFF

Panoramr takes JPEG and TIFF. Convert a PNG, EXR or HDR render to a JPEG before you upload it.

  4. 4

    One render per viewpoint

Render from every spot a visitor should stand, then link them in the Hotspots tab.

What studios make with it

  • Architectural visualisation

Clients and planners walk through the building, the lobby and the view, before the first brick.

  • Interiors and kitchens

Show a design in place, with notes on each material, finish and supplier.

  • Off-plan sales

Developers sell apartments from 360° renders of the show home and the balcony view.

  • Game and film worlds

Share an explorable preview of a level, a set or a concept, in any browser.

What studios use most

  • Notes, pictures and links in the room

Notes on each material, fitting and finish, with a picture of the sample.

    How it works
  • Themes and My Designs

Save your studio’s design under My Designs and use it on every client presentation.

    How it works
  • Your branding, not ours

A hosted tour shows no Panoramr start screen or logo, and can carry your own logo and words on the patch over the tripod.

    How it works
  • Private, or by link only

Keep client work private, or open only to people with its link, and off Explore.

    How it works
  • Reshoot one room

A new design option? Replace the render and the hotspots stay where they were.

    How it works
  • A copy for your own server

Give the client a ZIP website of the tour, in your design, for their own server.

From renders to a tour

  1. 1

    Upload your renders

Open Create Tour, give the tour a name and drop your photos in. No sign-up and no card. They are prepared in your browser, and the tour uploads by itself when they are ready.

  2. 2

    Design it

Choose a theme, then make it yours: colours, menus, buttons and the look of each hotspot. Choose where visitors start looking in each room.

  3. 3

    Link the rooms

Add hotspots so visitors can walk from one room to the next, and add text, pictures, video or a floor plan where they help.

  4. 4

    Keep it

Create a free account and the tour is yours. A guest tour is deleted after 2 days.

  5. 5

    Put it online

Publish it free with Panoramr’s branding, or buy a Vault for it to take the branding off.

  6. 6

    Share it

Paste its embed code into your website, and send its link by email or post it on social media.

Questions

Which 3D tools can make 360° renders?

Most of them: Blender, V-Ray, Corona, Lumion, Twinmotion, Enscape and Unreal Engine can all render a spherical (equirectangular) panorama. Check your renderer’s camera settings for 360° or panoramic.

Why was my render left out?

It is usually a PNG, or not exactly twice as wide as it is tall. Export a 2:1 JPEG or TIFF and upload it again.

Can I render a stereo (3D) panorama?

Upload the mono equirectangular render. Panoramr shows a flat 360° view, not a stereo pair.

Can I hand the tour to my client?

Yes, on the Pro, Agency or Enterprise plan: the client takes it over with a Vault and it moves into their account.

How big can a render be?

Up to 23,000 × 11,500 pixels and 250 MB a file.
