Virtual tours for construction, architecture and development

Record a site from the same spots on every visit, share it privately with the client, and show buyers and investors the finished building from 360° renders before the first brick.

In short

On a building site a 360° tour is a record of everything at once: take a 360° photo from the same marked spots on each visit, pin them on the drawing, and add notes on what was found. In Panoramr each visit can be its own tour, or a group of scenes named by date, shared privately with the client and the team. Developers also upload 360° renders of the finished rooms. A firm with many sites hosts them on the Pro or Agency plan.

How builders and architects use a tour

  • Before the walls close

Photograph the services in the walls and ceilings before they are covered, and find them again years later.

  • Progress for the client

Share each visit privately, with notes, so clients far away see the work without a site visit.

  • Snagging and handover

A note in the room on each snag, and a final tour of the finished building at handover.

  • Sell off plan

Upload 360° renders of the show apartment and the view, before the building exists.

What to photograph

Mark the spots on the floor and the drawing, and shoot from them every visit, camera at the same height.

How to take the photos
  • Each room or bay, from a marked spot
  • The services before the walls and ceilings close
  • The roof, the facade and the scaffold
  • Deliveries, the compound and site access
  • Snags, close to the problem
  • The finished rooms at handover
  • For sales: renders of the show home and the view

Two ways to get the photos

A tour is a 360° photo of each space, linked together. Who takes them is up to you.

Hire a professional

A 360° photographer shoots each space and hands you the photos. Many build the whole tour in Panoramr too, and hand it over to your account, ready to publish.

Take your own

With a 360° camera on a tripod or a stick, one press takes the whole room. Shoot from the same marked spots on every visit.

Best for regular progress records.

What site teams use most

  • Floor plan with a live map

Pin each spot on the drawing; the plan shows where the photo was taken and which way it faces.

    How it works
  • Floors and areas

Name a group of scenes by visit date, or by floor, so the client finds the visit they want.

    How it works
  • Notes, pictures and links in the room

A note on each snag or each service run: what it is, who fixes it, by when.

    How it works
  • Private, or by link only

A hosted tour can stay private to you and the people you invite, or open to anyone with its link and kept off Explore.

    How it works
  • Colleagues on the tour

Invite people to a tour as a Viewer, an Editor or an Admin, and choose what each role can open.

    How it works
  • Reshoot one room

After a refit, replace that room’s photo: its hotspots and links stay where they were.

How a tour is made

  1. 1

    Upload your photos

Open Create Tour, give the tour a name and drop your photos in. No sign-up and no card. They are prepared in your browser, and the tour uploads by itself when they are ready.

  2. 2

    Design it

Choose a theme, then make it yours: colours, menus, buttons and the look of each hotspot. Choose where visitors start looking in each room.

  3. 3

    Link the rooms

Add hotspots so visitors can walk from one room to the next, and add text, pictures, video or a floor plan where they help.

  4. 4

    Keep it

Create a free account and the tour is yours. A guest tour is deleted after 2 days.

  5. 5

    Put it online

Publish it free with Panoramr’s branding, or buy a Vault for it to take the branding off.

  6. 6

    Share it

Paste its embed code into your website, and send its link by email or post it on social media.

What it costs

Questions

Can we compare visits over time?

Make a tour for each visit, shot from the same spots, or put each visit’s photos in a group named by date. Panoramr has no side-by-side timeline view.

Can we keep site tours private?

Yes. A hosted tour stays private to you and the people you invite, or opens only to people with its link.

Can we upload 360° renders?

Yes. A render exported as an equirectangular JPEG, twice as wide as it is tall, uploads like a photo.

Can the client’s team look without editing?

Yes. Invite them as Viewers: they see the tour, its preview and its numbers.

How many sites can we host?

Pro hosts 250 photos at once and Agency 360, shared by all your tours.

Ways to share it

  • On your own website

Copy the embed code from the tour’s Publish tab and paste it into your page. It works with WordPress, Squarespace, Wix and most other sites.

    How to embed a tour
  • By its link

Send the tour’s address by email, put it in a booking confirmation or a newsletter, or post it on social media.

  • On Explore

Panoramr’s gallery of tours, with buttons to share yours on X, Facebook, LinkedIn and by email. A free tour is always listed there; a hosted one only if you want.

  • Only with your team

Keep it private while you work on it, and invite colleagues or your web designer to view or edit it with you.
