Report a tour, a picture, a post or a person

How anyone, with or without an account, reports a tour, a picture, a post or a person, what happens next, and what an owner sees.

The short answer

Anyone can report a tour, one scene of a tour, a post or a person, with or without an account, on the report form. The form says that a person looks at every report, and the most serious first. A report about a child being harmed, or an intimate image shared without consent, can put a published tour offline until a person has decided. This page promises no reply time and no particular outcome.

Where What to click
The footer of the website's pages (home, Explore, creator pages, Help, the legal pages) Report content in the Legal column. The footer is the same on a phone: scroll to the bottom
A tour's or post's page on the website The Report button beside the likes. On a tour it names the scene the player is showing
The social site: a post, a tour or a profile Signed in, the three-dot menu, then Report this post, Report this tour or Report this person (and Report this scene on a tour). A dialog asks for a reason, and sends the three reasons that need more on to the form. Signed out, the flag icon with the same name
A comment Report Flag in its menu. It flags the comment for our team and gives no reference

A hosted or embedded tour player has no Report link. Open the form and paste the tour's Explore page or player address (hosting.panoramr.com/projects/<number>/serve), or write to .

Send a report

  1. Open the form from a Report link (it says You are reporting ...; That is not it starts over), or paste an address into The address of what you are reporting. The form reads addresses on www.panoramr.com, app.panoramr.com and hosting.panoramr.com: a tour, a scene, a post or a profile.
  2. Choose a reason under What is wrong? and write Details, up to 2,000 characters.
  3. Add Your name and Your email. The email is required for three reasons (see the table); otherwise both are optional. Signed in, you are not asked. The Privacy Policy says what is kept.
  4. Complete the security check if one shows, then click Send report.
Reason What the form also asks
A child is being harmed or sexualised Marked looked at first. If a child is in immediate danger, the form says to call the emergency services first
An intimate image of me, shared without my consent Your email, and two boxes: that you are the person shown (or may ask for them) and that it was shared without consent. Marked looked at first
Someone can be identified: me, my family, my home or my car Your email, and a box that it concerns you or someone you may ask for
Someone else's work Your email, What is yours?, two boxes and Your full name, as your signature
Violence, gore or self-harm, Harassment or hate, Nudity or sexual content, Misleading, or not a real panorama, Spam or a scam, Something else Nothing more

After you send it

The page says Thank you. We have your report. and shows your reference (RPT- and eight characters). If you gave an email address, or are signed in, we mail you: We have your report RPT-.... Keep the reference and the link See what has happened to it, which is only yours. From the social site's menu you see Thank you, and the reference comes by email.

The status page shows Reference, About and Received, then A person has not decided yet. or A person has looked at it. with a sentence about what was done, such as We took it down. A decision also comes by mail, if we have your address, What we decided about your report RPT-.... If you think it is wrong, write to and quote the reference: somebody who did not decide it looks again.

What happens next

A person decides: nothing, ask the owner to change something, take a picture or a post down, take a tour off the social site or offline, or another action. You are told what was done, and the reason where our team wrote one for a decision to do nothing. The statement the owner gets does not name who reported or say what they wrote.

For the two reasons marked looked at first, a published tour can be taken offline at once, and its player shows visitors This tour is currently unavailable. A post or a person is not taken offline this way.

If it is your tour or post

  • While a report of the most serious kind waits, a red notice on every tour tab says This tour is offline while our team looks at a report about it. and the Type column of the My Tours list shows On hold. You can keep editing but cannot publish. No email is sent yet. When a person decides, the hold ends by itself unless the decision is to take the tour offline (or another most-serious report about it still waits), and then the red notice goes away. A report about one scene holds every published tour that shows that picture.
  • After a decision that asks something of you or restricts what is yours, you get a notification and an email: what was decided, what it was about, the ground our team gives, with a link to the Terms of Service, any note from our team, and that a person decided. A tour taken offline shows Our team has taken this tour offline. and Offline.
  • A second look. The statement links to a page where you write why you think it was wrong (at least 10 characters) and click Ask for a second look. You can ask once, for 180 days after the decision. A member of our team who did not decide it looks again and undoes what was done as far as it can be. A post taken down is deleted for good and cannot be put back; a picture taken down cannot be restored from the trash (Delete tours and panoramas).
  • A picture taken down from a tour that uses Draft Workflows puts the tour offline with the note A picture in it was removed. Publish the tour again, without it, and our team will put it back online. A tour without Draft Workflows is made again without the picture at once.

Troubleshooting

You see What to do
That is yours: nobody reports themselves, or their own work. You cannot report your own tour, scene, post or profile
You have sent a lot of reports. Please try again in a while. The menu on the social site takes 20 reports an hour. Wait, or use the form
We could not tell which tour or picture that is. Paste its web address from your browser, or email us at the address under the form. The address is not one the form reads, or the tour is a draft, which nobody can report. Paste the tour's Explore or player address
You have sent a lot of reports. Please try again in N minutes, or email us at the address under the form. The form takes 10 reports an hour and 30 a day from one internet connection (its IP address, so people who share a connection share the count), and 5 an hour for the two looked at first reasons
