Virtual tours for care homes, clinics and healthcare
Choosing a care home is hard to do from photos, and a first appointment is easier when you know the way in. A 360° tour lets families and patients look round calmly, from home, before they visit.
In short
A care home or clinic virtual tour links 360° photos of the rooms people will use: the entrance, the lounge, a bedroom, the garden, the waiting room. Families see the home before they visit; patients see the way from the car park to the treatment room. Making the tour in Panoramr is free; hosting it without Panoramr’s branding costs from £36 a year, in a Vault of up to 36 photos.
- Photos needed
- A clinic 5 to 15; a care home 15 to 30
- Privacy
- No residents, patients or records in the photos
- Hosting
- From £36 a year, in a Vault of up to 36 photos

- Step-free routes shown, and a text version of the tour
How care homes and clinics use a tour
Help families decide
Relatives who live far away walk through the lounges, a bedroom and the garden together, before the visit.
Calm a first appointment
Patients see the entrance, the waiting room and the treatment room, and arrive knowing the way.
Show step-free access
Ramps, lifts, wide doorways and accessible toilets, seen in advance by people who need them.
Recruit staff
Candidates see where they would work: the staff room, the wards, the garden.
What to photograph
Shoot empty rooms. Keep residents, patients, names and records out of every photo.
How to take the photos- The car park, the entrance and reception
- Lounges and the dining room
- A typical bedroom, and an en-suite
- The garden and any quiet room
- Activity rooms, the salon or the café
- The waiting room
- A treatment or consulting room
- Lifts, ramps and accessible toilets
Two ways to get the photos
A tour is a 360° photo of each space, linked together. Who takes them is up to you.
Hire a professional
A 360° photographer shoots each space and hands you the photos. Many build the whole tour in Panoramr too, and hand it over to your account, ready to publish.
Take your own
With a 360° camera and a tripod, one press takes a whole room. Export the photos from the camera’s app and upload them.
What care homes and clinics use most
A text version of the tour
Switch on the Accessibility Line and visitors can open a plain text version: each room’s name, description, links and info text.
How it worksNotes, pictures and links in the room
Notes in the room: visiting hours, what to bring, where to park, the lift to the first floor.
How it worksA spoken guide
A recorded welcome from the manager, playing in the lounge.
How it worksFloor plan with a live map
Upload a floor plan and pin each room on it. Visitors see a small map in a corner, with a cone that shows which way they are looking.
How it worksPrivate, or by link only

Translate the tour into Spanish, French, German, Chinese or Arabic. Visitors switch with one click on a paid plan or a hosted tour.
How it works
How a tour is made
- 1
Upload your photos
Open Create Tour, give the tour a name and drop your photos in. No sign-up and no card. They are prepared in your browser, and the tour uploads by itself when they are ready.
- 2
Design it
Choose a theme, then make it yours: colours, menus, buttons and the look of each hotspot. Choose where visitors start looking in each room.
- 3
Link the rooms
Add hotspots so visitors can walk from one room to the next, and add text, pictures, video or a floor plan where they help.
- 4
Keep it
Create a free account and the tour is yours. A guest tour is deleted after 2 days.
- 5
Put it online
Publish it free with Panoramr’s branding, or buy a Vault for it to take the branding off.
- 6
Share it
Paste its embed code into your website, and send its link by email or post it on social media.

Making the tour is free. One home fits a Vault; a group hosts every home on a plan.

Questions
How do we keep residents’ privacy?
Photograph empty rooms, with no residents, patients, names or records in view. A 360° camera sees all the way round, so check behind it too.
Can we share the tour only with families who ask?
Yes. A hosted tour can be open only to people with its link and kept off Panoramr’s Explore page.
Is there a text version for people who cannot see the photos?
Switch on the Accessibility Line: visitors open a plain text version with each room’s name, description and notes. We do not claim it meets an accessibility standard.
Can a group of homes use one account?
Yes. The Pro or Agency plan hosts every home’s tour together without our branding.
How much does it cost?
Making it is free. Hosting it without our branding costs from £36 a year, in a Vault of up to 36 photos.
Ways to share it
On your own website
Copy the embed code from the tour’s Publish tab and paste it into your page. It works with WordPress, Squarespace, Wix and most other sites.
How to embed a tourBy its link
Send the tour’s address by email, put it in a booking confirmation or a newsletter, or post it on social media.
On Explore
Panoramr’s gallery of tours, with buttons to share yours on X, Facebook, LinkedIn and by email. A free tour is always listed there; a hosted one only if you want.
Only with your team
Keep it private while you work on it, and invite colleagues or your web designer to view or edit it with you.
