Auto-rotate a tour on a kiosk or display (no autoplay tour)
Turn on Autorotate on Idle and set its speed for a display. The idle delay is fixed, and there is no autoplay tour that walks between rooms and no kiosk mode.

The short answer
Tick Autorotate on Idle in the Design tab's Transitions & Cameras module and the view turns by itself in every room. It stops when a visitor drags or zooms the picture and starts again 3 seconds later. Panoramr has no autoplay tour that walks from room to room, and no kiosk mode.
Turn it on
The owner and, by default, an Admin collaborator can do this.
- Open the tour's Design tab. Under Component Modules click Transitions & Cameras.
- Tick Autorotate on Idle. It is there in both the Basic and the Advanced view, and it is off by default.
- To change the speed, press Advanced and set Rotation Speed Multipier (the app spells it that way). It takes -10 to 10 in steps of 0.5 and starts at 5. A higher number turns faster and a negative number turns the other way. A box that holds 0 or nothing counts as 5, so untick Autorotate on Idle to stop the turning.
- Click Save & Render.
What a visitor sees
- The view starts turning when a room opens, and again in each room the visitor goes to.
- Dragging, pinching or scrolling the picture stops it. It starts again once the view has been still for 3 seconds. That delay is fixed: no setting changes it.
- While an info popup is open the turning pauses. It starts again 3 seconds after the popup closes.
- While it turns, the view eases toward a level horizon and a 90° field of view.
- The Top Nav Bar - Dropdown's Auto Play Rotation icon, on by default, starts and pauses the turning. A visitor who pauses it leaves the view still: it does not start again after 3 seconds, only when they press play or open another room (a new room starts it only if Autorotate on Idle is ticked). A visitor who presses play while Autorotate on Idle is unticked gets the turning only until the next room. Untick the icon under Arrange & Toggle Top Icons on a display, if visitors should not pause it. On a screen 768 pixels wide or narrower, Mobile Navigation decides which play button shows (Play Button, Advanced view only).
For a kiosk or a display
Panoramr has no kiosk mode, no timer that moves to another room and no setting that opens a tour in fullscreen. These exist:
- Turning. Autorotate on Idle, above.
- Starting room. A tour opens on the first scene of the list on the Tour tab. To open on another, add
#pano=<number>to the end of the player address, thesrcin the Web Embed Code on the Publish tab. The number is the panorama's: select the scene on the Panoramrs tab and readpano=in the browser's address. - Moving on. A visitor moves between rooms, so a display stays in one room until someone does. A tour with a single scene stays on it.
- Fullscreen. The Fullscreen Scale icon, on by default, switches to it with a click.
- Video. A video on a surface starts by itself, muted, on a loop: see Surface Media.
The other bars and what each can hide are in Customize the top navigation, bottom bar and sidebars.
Who sees it
- Free plan. Autorotate on Idle is not part of a theme, so visitors get it on the public page and in embeds on every plan. A free download is the Standard design, where it is off, and the play icon still lets a visitor start the turning. The bars, and the play icon in them, are part of a theme: a tour in a Pro theme that has never been hosted shows the free Default look of them. A paid plan, or a Vault that hosts the tour or has hosted it, gives visitors your design in any theme. The editor, the Preview tab and the Design page always show it.
- Refresh. Save & Render refreshes the stored copy that visitors get, unless Draft Workflows is on: then nothing reaches visitors until you click Publish Changes (when changes show).
- Layout and Explore. The play icon and the bars belong to the player's default tour layout; the bare
marzipanolayout has a play button of its own. The Explore page loads the player only after a visitor clicks the play button on its picture.
Troubleshooting
It does not turn. Check that Autorotate on Idle is ticked and saved, that the stored copy is refreshed, and that no popup is open. A free download is the Standard design, which does not turn on its own.
It stops when I touch it. It does, and it starts again after 3 seconds. The delay cannot be changed.
There is no speed box. The Basic view hides it. Press Advanced.
It turns the wrong way or at the wrong speed. Change Rotation Speed Multipier: a negative number reverses it.
It still turns for a visitor whose device asks for less motion. It should not: for that visitor the tour does not turn by itself, and the Autorotate button, where the tour shows it, starts switched off. A click on the button turns it on again. See Accessibility in a tour.
