A published tour has one address, and that address opens the tour in a full page, or in a frame when the tour is embedded. This page lists what a visitor can get at that address: the tour, a password page, or a short message, and the keys and address options that work in the tour. For the owner's side, see Share a tour and Who can see a tour.
Who can use it. Every published tour has this page, on every plan. Visitors need no account. A tour that is only private to its owner is not shown to anyone else.
What the owner decides. Everything a visitor sees inside the picture (bars, hotspots, colors) is set in the Design tab and the other editor tabs. This page is about the page around it.
What the address gives
Tour address
A tour's address is a link on the hosting domain: hosting.panoramr.com/projects/<number>/serve for a tour anyone may open, and hosting.panoramr.com/projects/<link code>/serve for a tour that is open only by its link or by a password. The link code is a long string of letters and numbers that cannot be guessed.
Where: The Publish tab shows the link under Tour link; Share a tour explains the ways to hand it out. Default: Every tour has one. What it does: Opens the tour. The number in the address works only for a tour anyone can open: for a tour that is open only by its link or a password it answers "Tour not found" to everybody but the tour's team. What visitors see: The tour, or one of the pages below. Related: Make a new link.
The tour
The tour opens on its first room, with the bars and hotspots the owner chose.
Where: The tour's address.
Default: The first room of the tour.
What it does: Loads the tour in the visitor's browser. Panoramr counts the visit as one view per visitor per hour. It does not count a visit by the tour's own team, the owner's preview, a report review, a search engine or a link checker.
What visitors see: The picture, which they turn by dragging, and the bars the design has. On a screen that cannot draw the picture, a note with a link to the text version. A tour with a start screen shows it first, over a blurred picture of the first room, and loads the room when the visitor presses Start tour; a tour with an intro page shows that instead.
Needs: A browser with WebGL for the picture.
Related: Accessibility mode.
Password page
A tour that needs a password shows a page with the tour's name and a password box before anything of the tour is sent.
Where: The tour's address, for a tour set to open only with a password.
Default: Not shown; a tour is open to anyone with the link until the owner sets a password.
What it does: The visitor types the password and presses Open tour. Show reveals what they typed. The right password opens the tour, and the browser is remembered for 30 days or until the owner changes the password. After ten wrong tries from one place in ten minutes, the page says "Too many tries" and asks the visitor to wait.
What visitors see: The tour's name, a password box, and a message when the password is wrong. The page is in the visitor's language when the address has ?lang=.

Tour paused
A tour its owner has paused shows a short message instead of the tour.
Where: The tour's address, after the owner pauses the tour. Default: Not shown. What it does: Replaces the tour with "Tour paused" and "This tour is not available right now. Please check back later." The owner and the tour's team still see the tour. What visitors see: That message, in their language. Search engines are not asked to keep it. Related: Who can see a tour.
Tour not published
A tour that has not been published is private to its team.
Where: The tour's address. Default: Every new tour is private until it is published. What it does: Shows "Tour not published" and "This tour is private: its owner has not published it." to everybody except the team. What visitors see: That message. Related: Why can't I publish?.
Tour unavailable
A tour that Panoramr has taken offline, for example after a report, shows a message.
Where: The tour's address. Default: Not shown. What it does: Shows "Tour unavailable" and "This tour is currently unavailable." to everybody except the team. Lifting the hold brings the tour back at once. What visitors see: That message. Related: Report content.
Tour not found
An address with no tour behind it shows a small page.
Where: Any tour address whose link code or number does not match a tour. A link-only or password tour asked for by its number shows it too. Default: Not shown. What it does: Shows "Tour not found" in the language the address asks for. It tells search engines not to keep it. What visitors see: That message. Related: Make a new link in Who can see a tour: the old link stops working.
What works inside the tour
Keyboard
Visitors can look around with the keyboard once the picture has focus.
Where: Inside the tour. Tab moves to the picture; it gets focus again after each room change. Default: On for every tour. What it does: The left, right, up and down arrow keys turn the view, and the plus and minus keys zoom. The keys act only on the picture and its hotspots, so typing in a box or a menu is left alone. The first thing Tab reaches is a link, "Text version of this tour". What visitors see: The view turns or zooms. Related: Accessibility mode.
Language in the address
Add ?lang= and a language code to open the tour in that language.
Where: The end of the tour's address, for example ?lang=de. The tour's language list also changes it.
Default: English.
What it does: The player's own words and the tour's translated texts come in that language. The platform's languages are English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic and Hebrew; any other code gives English. A tour whose owner has no plan with languages shows English whatever the address asks. Arabic and Hebrew read from right to left.
What visitors see: The tour in that language.
Needs: A plan with languages for any language but English; see Translate a tour.
Related: Language Switcher.
Text version in the address
Add ?accessibility=true to get the text version of the tour.
Where: The end of the tour's address. The link "Text version of this tour" and the accessibility button make the same address.
Default: Not on.
What it does: Opens a plain page that lists the rooms and their information as text, without the picture. ?linear=true does the same.
What visitors see: A page of text, with a link to report the tour at the end.
Related: Accessibility mode.
Open on a room
Add #pano= and a room's number to the address to open on that room.
Where: The end of the address, after the ? part. The room's number is its id.
Default: The first room.
What it does: Opens the tour on that room. A number that matches no room opens the first room.
What visitors see: The tour on that room.
Related: Share a tour.
Hide the start screen
?hide_splash=1 asks for no start screen.
Where: The end of the tour's address. Default: Not set. What it does: Leaves out the start screen, unless Panoramr's branding is forced on for this visit: then only the tour's own setting counts. What visitors see: The tour without its start screen, or with it when the branding is forced. Related: Remove Panoramr branding.
Skip the Little Planet intro
?intro=0 opens the tour without its Little Planet intro.
Where: The end of the tour's address.
Default: The intro plays when the owner has it on.
What it does: Skips the intro. ?intro=false does the same.
What visitors see: The tour opens on the room at once.
Related: Little Planet intro.
What Panoramr decides for each visit
The Default look
A tour on the Free plan that wears a Pro theme and has never been hosted shows visitors the Default look.
Where: The tour's address. Default: Not applied. What it does: Shows the tour's content in the free Default look instead of the Pro design. Hosting the tour, or a plan that allows it, brings the design back at the next visit. What visitors see: The tour in the Default look. Related: Pro themes.
Owner preview
The editor's own preview shows the owner's tour as a visitor would see it, without the branding and without counting a view.
Where: The preview in the editor, or ?editor=true on the tour's address while signed in as someone who can edit the tour.
Default: Not on.
What it does: Works only for people who can edit the tour. Anyone else who adds it to an address gets the normal page.
What visitors see: Nothing different: visitors cannot turn it on.
Related: Save & Render.
Troubleshooting
A visitor sees "Tour not found". The link is wrong, the tour was deleted, or the owner made a new link and the old one stopped. A tour that is open only by its link or a password also answers this to its number: use the link on the Publish tab.
A visitor sees "Tour not published" or "Tour paused". The owner has not published it, or has paused it. Publishing or resuming it brings it back for the next visit.
The tour looks plainer than the preview. On the Free plan a Pro theme is shown as the Default look until the tour is hosted. See Pro themes.
My change does not show. Visitors get a change after Save & Render, or after Publish changes when the tour uses Draft Workflows (My changes do not show for visitors).
The picture is black or missing. The browser may not support WebGL; the visitor is offered the text version.
