For industrial sites

Virtual tours for factories, warehouses and workplaces

A site visit without the hard hat. Show candidates where they would work, customers how their order is made, and new starters the way round, safely and without stopping the line.

In short

An industrial virtual tour links 360° photos of each area of a site, with notes on what happens there, a site plan and, where it helps, a video of the machine running. Share it publicly for recruitment and sales, or privately by link for inductions and customers. Making it in Panoramr is free; hosting it without Panoramr’s branding costs from £36 a year, in a Vault of up to 36 photos.

How industrial sites use a tour

  • Recruitment

Candidates see the shop floor, the canteen and the locker room before the interview.

  • Inductions

New starters learn the way round, the fire exits and the muster point before day one.

  • Customers and auditors

Show the line, the clean room or the warehouse to customers who cannot visit.

  • Investors and open days

A tour of the new plant for investors, the press and the community.

What to photograph

Agree with your safety and security teams what can be shown. Keep confidential processes and screens out of shot.

How to take the photos
  • The gate, the car park and reception
  • Each production area or line
  • The warehouse and the loading bays
  • The lab or quality area
  • Fire exits, assembly points and first aid
  • The canteen, lockers and rest areas
  • Offices and meeting rooms

Two ways to get the photos

A tour is a 360° photo of each space, linked together. Who takes them is up to you.

Hire a professional

A 360° photographer shoots each space and hands you the photos. Many build the whole tour in Panoramr too, and hand it over to your account, ready to publish.

Take your own

With a 360° camera and a tripod, one press takes a whole room. Export the photos from the camera’s app and upload them.

What industrial sites use most

  • Notes, pictures and links in the room

A note on each area: what is made here, the PPE it needs, who to ask.

    How it works
  • Video in the scene

Play the machine running, on its screen or in a window, beside the still photo.

    How it works
  • Floor plan with a live map

The site plan, with each scene pinned and the way the camera faces.

    How it works
  • Private, or by link only

A hosted tour can stay private to you and the people you invite, or open to anyone with its link and kept off Explore.

    How it works
  • Floors and areas

Group the rooms into floors or areas, such as Ground Floor or Gardens, so visitors can go straight to the part they want.

    How it works
  • Colleagues on the tour

Invite people to a tour as a Viewer, an Editor or an Admin, and choose what each role can open.

How a tour is made

  1. 1

    Upload your photos

Open Create Tour, give the tour a name and drop your photos in. No sign-up and no card. They are prepared in your browser, and the tour uploads by itself when they are ready.

  2. 2

    Design it

Choose a theme, then make it yours: colours, menus, buttons and the look of each hotspot. Choose where visitors start looking in each room.

  3. 3

    Link the rooms

Add hotspots so visitors can walk from one room to the next, and add text, pictures, video or a floor plan where they help.

  4. 4

    Keep it

Create a free account and the tour is yours. A guest tour is deleted after 2 days.

  5. 5

    Put it online

Publish it free with Panoramr’s branding, or buy a Vault for it to take the branding off.

  6. 6

    Share it

Paste its embed code into your website, and send its link by email or post it on social media.

Can new starters use it for their induction?

Yes. Send them the tour’s link, with notes in each area on the fire exits, the PPE and who to ask.

Can several sites share one account?

Yes. The Pro or Agency plan hosts every site together without our branding.

How much does it cost?

Making it is free. Hosting it without our branding costs from £36 a year, in a Vault of up to 36 photos.

Ways to share it

  • On your own website

Copy the embed code from the tour’s Publish tab and paste it into your page. It works with WordPress, Squarespace, Wix and most other sites.

    How to embed a tour
  • By its link

Send the tour’s address by email, put it in a booking confirmation or a newsletter, or post it on social media.

  • On Explore

Panoramr’s gallery of tours, with buttons to share yours on X, Facebook, LinkedIn and by email. A free tour is always listed there; a hosted one only if you want.

  • Only with your team

Keep it private while you work on it, and invite colleagues or your web designer to view or edit it with you.
