Can I share a tour with a client?
Last checked 29 October 2026
Yes, in three ways, and none of them needs Explore. Explore is the public gallery: list a tour there only when anyone may see it.
To let a client look at it, invite them as a Viewer. On the tour's Settings tab (in the Advanced view), type their Email Address under Project Collaborators, choose Viewer as the Access Level and click Share. They sign in and open the tour from their own list, even while it is a draft, with its Preview and Analytics and nothing they can change. They need an account, and a free one will do. To show the tour to someone without an account, it has to be published: a hosted tour (in your paid plan's hosting or in a Vault) can be kept to its link or to a password under Who can open it on the Hosting pane, so only the people you send it to can open it. Without hosting, the only way to publish a tour is to list it on Explore, where anyone can find it.
To show a client your changes before visitors get them, invite them as a Viewer and turn on Draft Workflows: on the Settings tab, tick Enable Draft Workflows in the card Publishing Strategy and click Save Properties. Visitors keep the version you last published, while your client sees your latest edits on the tour's Preview tab. When they are happy, click Publish changes above the tabs and the edits go live.
To let a client change it, invite them the same way as an Editor, who can also change the panoramas, floor plans and hotspots, or as an Admin, who can also open Design, Settings and Publish. The tour stays yours: what they add counts against your plan, and only you can invite people, publish the tour or list it on Explore. You choose which tabs each role opens under Client Workspaces in My Account.
To give the tour to a client, hand it over: under Project Collaborators, click Hand over to client. They get an email with a link to look at the tour for 14 days without signing in, then take it over with a Vault, and it moves into their account. Handing over is part of the Pro, Agency and Enterprise plans.
Invite collaborators to a tour and set their role has the roles, Who can see a tour the link and password choices, Hold back edits until you publish them the draft, and Hand a tour over to a client the handover.
