For dealers and brokers

Virtual tours for cars, boats and aircraft

Put buyers in the driver’s seat, the saloon or the cockpit, wherever they live. A 360° tour of each vehicle shows the condition and the space that a gallery of photos leaves out.

In short

A vehicle or vessel virtual tour links 360° photos of the inside and the outside: the driver’s seat, the back seats, the boot; or the deck, the saloon, the cabins and the helm. Notes on each feature tell buyers what they are looking at. Dealers with stock that changes host every tour together on the Pro plan (£99 a year) and take sold ones out to make room.

How dealers and brokers use a tour

  • Sell to buyers far away

A buyer three hours away sees the seats, the dashboard and the boot before they make the journey.

  • Show the condition honestly

Every panel and every seat in one view, so there is less to argue about at the handover.

  • Boats and yachts

The deck, the saloon, each cabin, the galley and the helm, linked as the buyer would walk through.

  • The showroom too

Add a tour of the showroom, the workshop and the handover bay, beside the stock.

What to photograph

Inside a vehicle the camera is close to everything, so keep it centred and level.

How to take the photos
  • The outside, from each corner, a few metres away
  • The driver’s seat, at head height
  • The back seats
  • The boot, or the load space
  • On a boat: the deck, the cockpit and the helm
  • The saloon, each cabin and the galley
  • On an aircraft: the cabin and the flight deck
  • The showroom and the handover bay

Two ways to get the photos

A tour is a 360° photo of each space, linked together. Who takes them is up to you.

Hire a professional

A 360° photographer shoots each space and hands you the photos. Many build the whole tour in Panoramr too, and hand it over to your account, ready to publish.

Take your own

With a 360° camera and a tripod, one press takes a whole room. Export the photos from the camera’s app and upload them.

What dealers use most

  • Notes, pictures and links in the room

A note on each feature: the infotainment, the leather, the engine hours, the safety kit.

    How it works
  • Picture galleries

A badge that opens close-ups: the tyres, the service book, the paintwork.

    How it works
  • Booking and shop buttons

Book a test drive, ask about finance, see the full advert: buttons to your own pages.

    How it works
  • Themes and My Designs

Save your dealership’s design once under My Designs and use it on every vehicle.

    How it works
  • Reshoot one room

After a refit, replace that room’s photo: its hotspots and links stay where they were.

    How it works
  • Visitor numbers

Each tour’s Analytics tab counts its unique visitors, and Global Analytics adds up all your tours. Search engines’ robots are not counted.

How a tour is made

  1. 1

    Upload your photos

Open Create Tour, give the tour a name and drop your photos in. No sign-up and no card. They are prepared in your browser, and the tour uploads by itself when they are ready.

  2. 2

    Design it

Choose a theme, then make it yours: colours, menus, buttons and the look of each hotspot. Choose where visitors start looking in each room.

  3. 3

    Link the rooms

Add hotspots so visitors can walk from one room to the next, and add text, pictures, video or a floor plan where they help.

  4. 4

    Keep it

Create a free account and the tour is yours. A guest tour is deleted after 2 days.

  5. 5

    Put it online

Publish it free with Panoramr’s branding, or buy a Vault for it to take the branding off.

  6. 6

    Share it

Paste its embed code into your website, and send its link by email or post it on social media.

What it costs

Making tours is free. Stock that changes suits a plan: every vehicle hosted together, and room freed when one sells.

Questions

How do you photograph the inside of a car?

Put a small 360° camera on a short stand or a mount between the front seats, at head height, and take the shot from the camera’s app outside the car.

How many vehicles can we have online?

Pro hosts 250 photos at once: about 50 cars of 5 photos. Agency hosts 360.

Can buyers book a test drive from the tour?

They click through to your booking page from a button or a link. The tour has no form of its own.

Can the tour go on our website and in adverts?

Embed it on your website, and add its link wherever your advert takes a link.

What happens when a car is sold?

Take its tour out of plan hosting and the room goes to the next vehicle. Nothing is deleted.

Ways to share it

  • On your own website

Copy the embed code from the tour’s Publish tab and paste it into your page. It works with WordPress, Squarespace, Wix and most other sites.

    How to embed a tour
  • By its link

Send the tour’s address by email, put it in a booking confirmation or a newsletter, or post it on social media.

  • On Explore

Panoramr’s gallery of tours, with buttons to share yours on X, Facebook, LinkedIn and by email. A free tour is always listed there; a hosted one only if you want.

  • Only with your team

Keep it private while you work on it, and invite colleagues or your web designer to view or edit it with you.
