The Publish tab is where you decide who can see a tour and how it is hosted, copy its link and embed code, send it to Google Street View, and download it. It has four panes, chosen from a list on the left. This page describes the tab and the controls that no other page covers; Share a tour covers the link, the embed code and the Explore listing.
Who can use it. The owner, and a collaborator whose role includes the Publish Tab: by default an Admin. An Admin can look at the panes, but only the owner can change where the tour is hosted or whether it is published: an Admin's change is refused with Only the tour owner can change this setting. in a red box at the top of the tab. Saving also needs the Settings Tab, which an Admin has by default (Choose what Viewers, Editors and Admins can open). On the free trial everything but Download is greyed out with Publishing is not available on the trial. Create a free account to use it.
Basic and Advanced. The tab is in both views. The Google Street View pane is in the Advanced view only; a link to it in Basic opens Overview.
When visitors get a change. The settings save when you click Save Settings. With Draft Workflows on, the design and content wait for Publish changes, but the hosting and publishing choices on this tab take effect when you save.
The panes
Panes
Choose what to work on.
Where: Publish tab (Publish tab), the list on the left: Overview, Hosting, Google Street View and Download. A link can name a pane with ?tab= and overview, hosting, google_streetview or download; the older names hosting_spaces and my_venue open Hosting.
Default: Overview (a free trial guest starts on Download).
What it does: Overview has the draft button, the Global Showcase box, the tour link and the embed code. Hosting has the Vault the tour is in, plan hosting, Published, who can open the tour and the Unpublish box. Google Street View sends panoramas to Google (Publish to Google Street View). Download builds a zip of the tour (Download a tour).
What visitors see: Nothing changes by opening a pane.
Overview
Deploy Draft to Live
Sends the editor's version of the tour to visitors.
Where: Publish tab (Publish tab), Overview pane, the card Draft Workflow Active. The card shows only while the tour uses Draft Workflows. Basic and Advanced view. Default: Not shown. What it does: The button does the same as Publish changes above the tabs: it makes the published pages again from what is in the editor. It works even when nothing has changed. What visitors see: The new version, after about a minute. Related: Hold back edits until you publish them
Save Settings
Saves the publishing choices of this tab.
Where: Publish tab (Publish tab), at the foot of the Global Showcase card in Overview and of the Hosting card in Hosting. Basic and Advanced view.
Default: Greyed out until you change something.
What it does: Saves the tour's Showcase listing and category, Host in my plan, Published, Unpublish / Hide Tour and the right-click details in one request. It says Saved successfully. and Saving... while it works. If the server refuses a box (no room in plan hosting, a box only the owner may change) the box goes back to what was saved and the reason is shown in a red box at the top of the tab. Show my details in the right-click menu and Unpublish / Hide Tour save as soon as you change them, and that save sends every box of the tab, so any other box you changed and have not saved is saved with it.
What visitors see: The tour as published, hidden or hosted, from their next visit.
Needs: The Settings Tab permission for a collaborator; the owner for hosting and publishing boxes.
Show my details in the right-click menu
Adds your name to the menu a visitor gets when they right-click the tour.
Where: Publish tab (Publish tab), Overview pane, under the embed code. Basic and Advanced view.
Default: Off.
What it does: When a visitor right-clicks the tour, the menu says Tour created by and your Creator Name, linked to your website, above Tour powered by Panoramr. The name and the website come from your Creator profile and are the same for every tour. The box saves as soon as you change it. It is greyed out on a plan that does not include it (Pro, Agency and Enterprise do), and the line under it says so.
What visitors see: The two lines in the right-click menu.
Needs: A paid plan.

Hosting
Host in my plan
Hosts the tour in your plan, with your own branding.
Where: Publish tab (Publish tab), Hosting pane, card Hosting in your plan. Basic and Advanced view. The owner only.
Default: Off.
What it does: Hosts the tour with your own branding and design; you choose whether it is private, published or listed. The tour's panoramas count against the panoramas your plan hosts, shown as 3 / 50 Used, shared by every tour you put there. The box is greyed out when your plan hosts nothing or the whole tour does not fit; the card then says Your plan does not include hosting. Host this tour in a Vault, or move to a plan that does. or how many panoramas have room. A tour hosted by a Vault takes nothing from the plan and says In a Vault.
What visitors see: Your branding instead of Panoramr's, and the tour in your own design.
Needs: A plan with hosting, or a Vault: see Free publishing and plan hosting and Vault hosting.

Published
Lets visitors open a hosted tour by its link and in an embed.
Where: Publish tab (Publish tab), Hosting pane, under Host in my plan. It shows once the tour is hosted or has been hosted. Basic and Advanced view. The owner only. Default: Off, so a hosted tour is private. What it does: A ticked tour opens by its link and in an embed, and is not on Explore unless you also list it on the Overview pane. Leave it unticked to keep the tour private. Out of plan hosting, a tour that never had a Vault goes private again. What visitors see: The tour, when ticked; otherwise nothing. Needs: Hosting, from the plan or a Vault. Related: Who can see a tour
Unpublish / Hide Tour
Replaces the tour with a message, wherever it is embedded.
Where: Publish tab (Publish tab), Hosting pane, at the foot. Basic and Advanced view. The owner only. It saves as soon as you tick it.
Default: Off.
What it does: The tour stays where it is embedded but shows the message Tour paused with This tour is not available right now. Please check back later. Untick it to bring the tour back. People who work on the tour still see it.
What visitors see: The paused message instead of the tour.

The other panes
Google Street View
Sends panoramas to Google Street View.
Where: Publish tab (Publish tab), the pane Google Street View. Advanced view. Default: Not connected. What it does: Connects a Google account and publishes selected panoramas. It is described in Publish to Google Street View. It was never run against Google's live service for this page. What visitors see: Nothing on the tour itself.
Download
Builds a zip of the tour.
Where: Publish tab (Publish tab), the pane Download. Basic and Advanced view.
Default: The Standard design on the Free plan; your own design on a paid plan.
What it does: The Download button opens the choices (pictures, the player's code, VR and languages) and builds the zip. A big tour can be built in the background, with a bell message when it is ready. Download only what changed takes the manifest.json of the folder you put online and builds only the files that differ. Everything is described in Download a tour.
What visitors see: Nothing, until you put the folder online.
Needs: A paid plan for your own design; the free download is the Standard design.
Troubleshooting
Save Settings is greyed out. Nothing has changed since the last save.
A box jumps back and a red box appears. The server refused the change. Only the tour owner can change this setting. means your role cannot. A message about room means your plan's hosting is full: take another tour out of hosting, remove panoramas, or use a Vault.
The Google Street View pane is missing. You are in the Basic view; switch to Advanced.
An embed says Tour not published. The tour is not hosted and not listed on Explore. List it on the Overview pane or host it.
My Draft Workflows edits are not live. Click Deploy Draft to Live or Publish changes.
