What happens when a Vault ends
When a Vault ends nothing is deleted: the tour stays online and Panoramr's branding returns after a grace period. What visitors see, what we tell you, renewing.

The short answer
When a Vault ends, nothing is deleted. Visitors notice nothing for 7 days. After that the tour stays online with Panoramr's branding back: the start screen, and the "Created using" patch over the tripod. It keeps your own design, its embeds and its link, unless it does not fit in free publishing, in which case it becomes private. Renew the Vault at any time and the branding goes off again at once.
What you are told, and when
For a Vault paid for once:
| When | What you see | What we send |
|---|---|---|
| From 60 days before the end | a yellow banner every day, saying how many days are left | a mail at 60, 30, 14, 7 and 1 days before the end, with a button to extend |
| The end date | an amber banner: ended, with the day the branding returns |
a mail |
| 7 days after the end | a red banner: Panoramr's branding is back | a mail |
| 30 days after the end | the red banner | one last mail, then no more |
A Vault that renews by itself has no end date to warn about until you stop it; then it gets the same banner and mails as a Vault paid for once: see Vault billing for what we send before a renewal and when a payment fails. Mails go to the owner, and to the person who handed the tour over and chose Keep telling me when its hosting is about to end. Only the Vault's owner can renew it; the others should ask the owner. A banner can be put away for the day with the cross, except a red one, which stays until it is put right, or until the Vault has been over for about two months. Mails stop on the same rule.
On the Vault's page the label at the top changes: In use, then Ending soon, Ended: grace period and Ended: branding is back.
What visitors see
- During the grace days: the tour as before, still without Panoramr's branding.
- After them: the tour as before, with Panoramr's branding back. Your own design, the embeds on other websites and the link keep working. Your own logo and words on the tripod patch are not shown while Panoramr's branding is back; they stay in the tour's settings and come back when you renew.
- Always: nothing is deleted, and the tour's address does not change.
Panoramr decides the branding each time somebody opens the tour, so it changes the moment the grace days are over, and the moment you renew. A tour that has to go private is made private by a check that runs every hour.
What happens to where the tour is published
An ended Vault no longer hosts the tour, so the tour counts as published in free publishing: on Explore only if you had listed it, with Panoramr's branding. Free publishing has room for 250 panoramas in up to 10 tours. If the tour does not fit, it becomes private when the grace days are over, we tell you, and the tour is not deleted. A tour that does not fit stays private until you renew the Vault, host the tour in your plan, or make room. See Free publishing, plan hosting or a Vault.
The tour stays in its Vault, so renewing it restores everything, including a tour that went private because it did not fit.
The room the Vault gave your account (its panoramas and its asset library space) goes with it. Nothing is deleted, but you may not be able to add panoramas until your account is under its limit.
Downloading your own design
A Vault is hosting, not a download, so nothing about downloads changes when it ends: the files of your own design come with a paid plan whatever happens to the Vault, and the Standard design, with Panoramr's branding, can always be downloaded.
Renew
Open the Vault: click your name or picture at the top right (on a narrow screen, the menu button), then My Account and My Vaults, and click Open. Under For how long? pick 1, 3 or 5 years and pay (while the Vault still runs the question reads How much longer?). The new years start the day you pay when the Vault has ended, or after the end date when it has not. A Vault that renewed late because a payment failed is back as soon as the payment is made.
Troubleshooting
Panoramr's branding is on my tour and the Vault has not ended. The tour is not in the Vault any more (it was moved or taken out), the Vault was canceled (it ends at once), or the Vault's last payment failed and the grace days are over. The Vault's page says which.
The tour went private and I did not do it. The Vault ended and the tour did not fit free publishing. Renew the Vault and it is published again at once, or make room in free publishing and publish it yourself.
I renewed and the branding is still there. Reload the tour. If it is still there, check on the Vault's page that the payment is listed. If the page says your payment is still being confirmed, the Vault is updated when it is; if nothing changes after that, contact us.
I never got the mails. They go to the address on your account, and to the person who handed the tour over if they chose to hear about its hosting; look in your spam folder. That person's mail says that only you can extend the Vault, and opens the tour's Hosting tab, where they can see where it stands. The banner shows the same news.
