Vault billing: pay once, or pay by the year

Pay for a Vault once for 1, 3 or 5 years, or let it renew every year. What each costs, how to stop a renewal, switch, and what happens if a payment fails.

The short answer

A Vault is paid for in one of two ways. Pay once buys 1, 3 or 5 years up front, and the Vault ends at its end date unless you extend it. Rolling yearly takes the price of one year from your card every year until you stop it. The price of a year is the same either way: a longer term paid once costs less a year. No VAT is charged: the company that sells Panoramr is not registered for VAT, so the price you see is the price you pay. If that changes, VAT will be added to the price of payments made after the change.

Pay once Rolling yearly
You pay the whole term, today one year, today, and again every year
Vault 36 £36, £70 or £99 £36 a year
It ends at the end date, unless you extend it when you stop it, at the end of the year you paid for
Changing the card not needed on Stripe's page, from the Vault's page
Can go to another person with a tour yes, with a handover (part of the Pro, Agency and Enterprise plans: see Hand a tour over to a client) no: it is billed to your card

Choose how to pay

  1. On the buying page, under How do you want to pay?, click Pay once or Rolling yearly.
  2. For Pay once, pick the length under For how long?.
  3. Pay on Stripe's page. A Vault that renews by itself is paid for on its own, so it cannot share a payment with other Vaults.

A rolling Vault starts when the payment is done and runs one year. The Vault's page says when it renews. The price of the renewal is on its card in My Vaults and in the mails we send.

Stop a Vault renewing, or start it again

  1. Open the Vault: click your name or picture at the top right (on a narrow screen, the menu button), then My Account and My Vaults, and click Open on the Vault.
  2. Under Renewing, click Stop renewing.

The Vault then runs to the end of what you paid for, and ends like any Vault (what happens when a Vault ends). Until that day Keep renewing starts it again. Stopping a renewal does not refund the year that has begun.

To change the card, or to see the invoices, click Update my card or see invoices.

Switch from rolling to paying once

Stop the renewing first. While a Vault renews by itself, extending it is not offered, because the renewal would add a year on top. Once it is set to stop, the years under How much longer? let you buy 1, 3 or 5 more years, added after the end date.

What we tell you

  • Before a renewal. A mail about 30 days and again about 7 days before it renews, saying the date and the price, with a link to the Vault's page, where you can stop it.
  • When it renewed. We mail you a receipt, and the Vault's page lists the payment with a link to its invoice.
  • When a payment fails. We mail you and a red banner says the last payment failed. On the Vault's page, Renewing says The last payment failed. Stripe will try again; put your card right to keep it going., and the label at the top may read Ended: grace period until it is paid. The tour stays hosted through the 7 days of grace after the end of the period you paid for. If the payment is made later, hosting is back as soon as it is, even after Panoramr's branding has returned. Stripe tries again for as many days as its settings allow. If it gives up, it ends the renewing, we mail you that the Vault will not renew, and the Vault ends at its end date plus the grace days: use the years under For how long? to pay for more time.

Troubleshooting

I stopped it and it renewed. A renewal that was already paid is kept: Stop renewing takes effect at the end of the year you have paid for. Cancel within 14 days of a payment if you have the right: see Cancel a Vault and get your money back.

My card was declined. Open the Vault, click Update my card or see invoices and put a card right. Stripe tries the payment again on its own schedule, and the Vault is hosted again as soon as Stripe reports the payment as made.

Stop renewing is not there. The Vault does not renew by itself (it was paid for once), it has ended, you have already stopped it (then the section offers Keep renewing), or you are not the Vault's owner (the page is not found for anybody else).

I want to pay for several years of a rolling Vault at once. Stop it renewing, then pick the years under How much longer?.
