Make a Vault longer or bigger
Make a Vault last longer, make it bigger, or both in one payment, or move it to another tour. How the total is worked out, and why it is never made smaller.

The short answer
While a Vault is running you can change it from its page: make it last longer, make it bigger, or both in one payment, and host a different tour with it. An ended Vault can be extended, and made bigger with its new term, and a canceled one cannot be changed: buy a new one. The longer term and the bigger size are paid for on Stripe's page. A term is never shortened, and a Vault is never made smaller. Only the Vault's owner can change it, and paying needs a confirmed email address: see Sign up and confirm your email.
To open a Vault, click your name or picture at the top right (on a narrow screen, the menu button), then My Account and My Vaults, and click Open. The section is called Change this Vault.
Make it bigger, longer, or both
The form is the one you used to buy the Vault, with nothing lower to choose. Nothing is bought until you pay.
- Under How many panoramas? the Vault's own size is chosen. Pick a bigger one to make it bigger. The sizes below its own are greyed out and read Can't go smaller.
- Under How much longer? Keep my end date is chosen. Pick 1, 3 or 5 years to add them after the date the Vault ends now, so no time is lost. Each card shows its price at the size you picked above: the price the Buy page shows for that size.
- Your change adds it up, line by line, with one total. Tick that you have read and accept the Terms, click the button that reads
Payand the total, and pay on Stripe's page. Stripe's page and the invoice show the two parts as two lines.
The bigger size costs the difference between the two sizes for the time you have paid for already, in proportion (and VAT, while VAT is charged). The years you add are bought at the new size. So the total is what the two payments would cost one after the other, in either order, and you pay it once: extending first and making it bigger after costs the same as making it bigger first and extending after.
For example, a Vault 100 bought for 3 years, with all 3 years left, made a Vault 250 with 5 more years added: the bigger size is the difference between the two 3-year prices (£189 and £109), and the 5 years are £249, the price of 5 years of Vault 250. Less is charged for the bigger size the less of the 3 years is left.
The new size and the new end date apply as soon as the payment is confirmed. A rolling Vault renews at the new size's price from then on, and the card says what that is.
- Only a longer term. Leave the size on its own and pick the years: you pay the Buy page's price for them at the Vault's own size. The tour is hosted until the new date.
- Only a bigger size. Leave Keep my end date chosen. If the difference is too small to charge, or the time that is left is paid for at the new size already, the Vault is made bigger for nothing: there is no Terms tick, and the button reads Make it bigger.
- A Vault that has ended, or has no paid time left. There is no end date to keep and nothing running to pay a difference for, so the form asks for how long, and a bigger size shows Included: the new term is bought at the new size, and the Vault is bigger from the day you pay. A Vault that has ended starts again that day, and Panoramr's branding goes off the tour at once.
- A Vault that renews by itself cannot have time added while it renews: the form says
This Vault renews by itself. Stop it renewing first if you would rather pay for a longer term at once. Its size can still be made bigger. Stop the renewing (Vault billing) and the years appear.
Paying needs a confirmed email address: until you have confirmed it you are sent to the Check your inbox page.
A Vault is never made smaller
A Vault can be made bigger and longer, never smaller, and a term is never made shorter. The sizes below a Vault's own are greyed out and read Can't go smaller. If you bought a size you do not need, see Cancel a Vault and get your money back: within 14 days of a payment you may be able to cancel it and get all of it back, and cancelling the payment that made a Vault bigger puts it back to the size it had. After that, a refund is for the team to give: contact us and say why.
Host a different tour
Under Host a different tour, pick another of your tours and click Move the Vault. The tour that was in it goes private (it is listed on Explore only if you had listed it and free publishing has room) and loses the hosting: it shows Panoramr's branding again, and the free Default look if it wears a Pro theme and its owner has no paid plan. A Vault can be put in another tour once every 7 days, whether you use Move the Vault or take the tour out and put the Vault in another. The section is there while a tour is in the Vault. It has the form only while the Vault runs and the wait is over; otherwise it says why (You moved this Vault lately. You can move it again on a date, or A Vault that has ended cannot be moved.). For an empty Vault use Put it in this Vault.
Troubleshooting
I cannot pick a size. The sizes below the Vault's own are greyed out: a Vault is made bigger from its page, not smaller. When a bigger size cannot be taken, an amber line in Your change says why: the Vault was cancelled, its last payment failed, or an offer to hand the tour over is open for a Vault that goes with it.
It says the Vault changed since I looked at it. The Vault was changed (in another window, or by a payment) while you were choosing. Look at the new price and choose again. If you had already paid for the old price, the payment is refunded in full and we mail you.
The Pay button is gray. Choose a bigger size or some years, accept the Terms, and check there is no amber line. Paying also needs a confirmed email address.
There is no Make it bigger or term choice. The Vault store is switched off. Moving the Vault and stopping a renewal still work; contact us if you need more time.
I want my money back for the whole payment. See Cancel a Vault and get your money back. A payment that made the Vault bigger and longer is cancelled as one: the size and the end date both go back.
