Remove Panoramr branding: the splash screen and the badge
A hosted tour shows no Panoramr start screen and no badge on the floor. How hosting removes them, what visitors see in each case, and what stays Panoramr's.

The short answer
A tour carries two things that are Panoramr's: a start screen (the splash) that appears when it opens, and a round badge on the floor under the camera. Hosting removes both. Put the tour in a Vault, or tick Host in my plan on the Hosting tab of the Publish tab, and visitors see neither. When a Vault ends, Panoramr's branding comes back after the grace days. When your plan stops covering a tour, it comes back at once. The tour is still served from Panoramr's address.
Who can do it
- Only the owner can put a tour in hosting or in a Vault. An Admin collaborator can open the Publish tab, but a change to hosting shows
Only the tour owner can change this setting. - Any plan can buy a Vault. Plan hosting is part of Pro, Agency and Enterprise: see Free publishing, plan hosting or a Vault.
Remove the branding
- Open the tour and click the Publish tab, then Hosting.
- Put the tour in a place that hosts it: tick Host in my plan and save, or put it in a Vault (the card lists your empty Vaults, or has the button to buy one).
- Tick Published if visitors are to open the tour by its link or in an embed, and click Save Settings. A tour you put in a Vault is published already.
You do not need to tick anything on the Overview pane. The two boxes there, Hide Startup Splash Screen and Hide Tripod Cap (Nadir Patch), no longer decide whether Panoramr's branding shows: hosting does. The tripod box still hides your own patch if you added a logo: see Add your own branding to a hosted tour.
| What | Where it shows | How it goes |
|---|---|---|
| The start screen | Over the tour as it opens, then it fades | Hosting. It is never shown in the editor, the Preview tab or the Explore page |
| The round badge | On the floor, at the point straight down in every scene | Hosting. If you saved a logo of your own, the badge becomes your patch |
What the start screen and the badge say and show is set by Panoramr's team for the whole platform.
What visitors see
| Your tour | Start screen | Badge |
|---|---|---|
| In a Vault or in plan hosting | Not shown | Not shown, or your own patch |
| Its Vault is in the grace days after the end | Not shown | Not shown |
| Its hosting ended some time ago | Shown | Shown. Your own logo is kept, not shown |
| Never hosted (free publishing, or private) | Shown | Shown, whatever you ticked (on its Explore page the badge follows your Hide Tripod Cap (Nadir Patch) tick) |
This is decided each time somebody opens the tour. It changes the moment the grace days are over and the moment you renew, and it does not wait for the stored copy of the tour to be rebuilt. A page that Panoramr's own site frames, such as Explore, never shows the start screen.
What stays Panoramr's
- The address. The player is served from
hosting.panoramr.com/projects/<number>/serve, and that address is in the embed code. There is no custom domain: see Share a tour. - The Explore page. It is part of Panoramr's own site.
- The branding of an embed. A tour that has never been hosted can be embedded on any plan, and it shows the start screen and the badge there as it does on its own address: see Fix embed problems.
- The downloads. A download takes the decision once, when the file is made: a tour hosted without Panoramr's branding downloads without it, in either design, only when its owner is on a paid plan, because a Vault is hosting, not a download; any other tour downloads with it. See Download a tour as a ZIP.
Turning the bars off does not remove the splash or the badge: see Customize the player's bars. Your own logo goes on the badge, or in the sidebar or the menu bar: see Add your logo and brand colors.
Troubleshooting
Visitors still see Panoramr's splash or badge. In order: the tour is not in hosting (open Hosting and read where it is); its Vault ended and the grace days are over; or your plan stopped covering the tour.
I ticked Hide Startup Splash Screen and nothing changed. The box no longer decides this. A hosted tour never shows the start screen, and a tour that is not hosted always does.
The boxes were ticked and are now off. Using Restore in the Design tab's Undo history puts all of the tour's settings back as they were then, these two boxes included. Tick them again if you want your own patch hidden.
I want my own logo or splash in place of Panoramr's. Your logo can go on the badge: Add your own branding to a hosted tour. The start screen belongs to Panoramr and is hidden on a hosted tour.
I am sent to the Check your inbox page. Your email address is not confirmed. See Why can't I publish my tour?.
