The short answer
Click Get started free at the top of the website, type your name, email and password, and click Register. Panoramr emails you a link: click it to confirm your address. Until you do, the account can do less, or nothing, depending on what the amber bar at the top says. You can also sign up with Google.
Create an account
Anyone can, and it costs nothing. The sign-up page is pro.panoramr.com/register.
- Click Get started free at the top of the website (on a narrow screen, open the menu button first), or Sign up here on the Log in page. The page is headed Create an account.
- Type your Name, Email, Password and Confirm Password. The Show button next to a password box reveals what you typed.
- If a security check appears, complete it.
- Click Register.
| Field | What it accepts |
|---|---|
| Name | Up to 255 characters, with at least one letter or number. No link and no email address: A name cannot contain a link or an email address. |
A real address whose domain can receive mail. One account per address, and capitals do not matter. Temporary-email services are refused: Please use an address you keep: temporary email services are not accepted. |
|
| Password | At least 10 characters. A password that has appeared in a known data leak is refused: The given password has appeared in a data leak. Please choose a different password. The two boxes must match. |
After you click Register you land on the Check your inbox page, or on the Dashboard under an amber bar, and a confirmation email is on its way. The link in an invitation to a tour opens this page with the invited address filled in: register with that address and confirm it, and the tour waits in your dashboard. If you came from a guest tour made on Create Tour without an account, the sign-up page says your tour is kept, and the new account is that tour's.
Sign up with Google, Facebook or Microsoft
The buttons Continue with Google, Continue with Facebook and Continue with Microsoft appear only for a provider that is set up on the site. The provider must share your email address.
- Google. If Google reports the address as confirmed, the account is confirmed at once. If an account with that address already exists, Google signs you in to it. If that account had never been confirmed, its old password stops working, its other sessions end and two-factor authentication is switched off: see Fix sign-in problems.
- Facebook and Microsoft. The first time, they make a new account, and the confirmation email is sent as for any sign-up. If an account with that address already exists, they are refused:
There is already an account with the email address Facebook gave us. Please log in with your password, or with Google. - No password yet. An account made this way has none of its own. Under How you sign in on the My profile page it reads Email and password,
Not set yet. Choose one under Update Password to sign in with your email as well. If the amber bar saysYour email address is not confirmed yet, Update Password stays shut: confirm the address first. Reset password? on the Log in page also sets a password and confirms the address in one go, but on an account that was not confirmed it unlinks the Facebook, Microsoft or Google sign-in too (see Reset a forgotten password), so confirm the address first if you want to keep signing in with them.
Confirm your email address
- Open the email whose subject begins
Welcome to Panoramrand click Confirm my email address. The link is good for 7 days. On the Check your inbox page, a Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud or Proton address gets a button that opens that mailbox in a new tab (Open Gmail searches every folder, spam included, for our mail). - If you are signed in in that browser, you land on the Dashboard. A Check your inbox page still open in another tab, or on a computer while you click the link on your phone, notices within a few seconds and moves on by itself. Otherwise you land on the Log in page with
Your email address is verified. Please log in.The link does not sign anyone in. - A welcome email follows.
The email does not arrive, or the link has expired. Wait a minute and look in your spam folder. Then ask for another link: click Resend link on the Check your inbox page (it can be clicked 30 seconds after a link went out), Send me a new link in the amber bar, or Click here to re-send the verification email. under your email on the My profile page. Fix sign-in problems has the messages.
The address is wrong. Click Wrong address? Change it (or Wrong address? in the bar). On the My profile page change Email under My details and click Save Profile. Panoramr emails a link to the new address. An unconfirmed account does not need its password for this.
What an unconfirmed account can do
The amber bar says where you stand.
| The bar says | What you can do |
|---|---|
Please confirm your email address by <date>: we have sent you a link. After that date you will need it to keep using your account. |
Everything except inviting people, handing a tour over to a client, and posting, uploading and commenting on the social site. After the date you need the link to keep using the account. |
Confirm your email address to invite people, publish, post and buy. We have sent you a link. |
Use the app and its editor. Held: inviting collaborators, posting and commenting, Publish Changes, Deploy Draft to Live, buying a plan or a Vault, publishing to Google Street View, handing a tour over, and uploading to or replacing files in the Asset Library. Ticking Publish to Global Showcase is not held. |
Your email address is not confirmed yet. Confirm it to use your account: we have sent you a link. |
Only the confirmation page, My profile (its details form and Delete Account, not Update Password or Two-Factor Authentication) and Log Out. Every other page sends you to Check your inbox. Create Tour, the marketing pages and published tours are not affected. |
Changing the email address of a confirmed account asks for your current password, if the account has one, and emails the old address. Your other devices are signed out. The new address is unconfirmed until you click the link sent to it, so the account is held as an unconfirmed one meanwhile.
If you made the account while buying
Buying a Vault, or a Pro or Agency plan, without an account makes one on the way: see Buy a Vault before you have a tour and If you have no account yet. Depending on how the site is set, you either confirm your email first and then pay, or pay first and have a day or so to confirm. In the second case the amber bar counts down to a day and time, and the page you pay on says how many hours you have. When the time is up the account is held like any unconfirmed account, as the table above says; a Vault you paid for keeps running, and so do its tours, and a plan you paid for stays on the account. Clicking the link at any time puts it right.
- Click Sign in at the top of the website (on a narrow screen, open the menu button first), or open
pro.panoramr.com/login. - Type your Email and Password. Capitals in the email do not matter. Tick Remember me to stay signed in on this browser.
- Click Log in. If you turned on two-factor authentication, a page asks for a code next.
Or click one of the three provider buttons above.
Reset a forgotten password
- On the Log in page click Reset password?.
- Type your email and, if a security check appears, complete it. Click Email Password Reset Link. The page answers
If that address has an account, we have emailed it a link to choose a new password.whether or not the address has an account. - Open the email and click the link. It is good for 60 minutes.
- Type a new Password, repeat it in Confirm Password and click Reset Password. The rules in the table above apply.
You land on the Log in page with Your password has been reset. The reset ends the account's other sessions, confirms your address (the link proved it) and emails you that the password was changed. On an account whose address was already confirmed it changes nothing else: two-factor authentication stays on and your Google, Facebook or Microsoft sign-in stays linked. On an account whose address was never confirmed, anyone could have set those up, so the reset also switches off two-factor authentication, unlinks the Google, Facebook and Microsoft sign-ins and disconnects the Google account used for Street View. The mail does not list them. Afterwards you sign in with your email and password, or with Google; Facebook and Microsoft refuse an address that already has an account.
