VAT, invoices and refunds for a Vault
Whether VAT is added to a Vault payment and how Stripe works it out when it is, where the invoices are, how to add a VAT number, and how refunds go back.

The short answer
No VAT is charged: the company that sells Panoramr is not registered for VAT, so the price you see is the price you pay. If that changes, VAT will be added to the price of payments made after the change. When VAT is charged, every price for a Vault is without VAT: on Stripe's payment page you give a billing address, Stripe works the VAT out from it and adds it, and a business can add its VAT number on the same page. Each payment has an invoice, and each refund is made as a credit note in Stripe.
VAT on a payment
- When none is charged, the basket says
No VAT is added to these prices.under the total, and a Vault 36 for a year costs £36. - When VAT is charged, the basket says
Prices exclude VAT.under the total, and Stripe works it out from the billing address you enter on its page and adds it to the price. Where Panoramr is not registered to collect VAT for your address, nothing is added. - A business, where VAT is charged, can tick the box for a VAT number on Stripe's page and enter it. Adding a VAT number also makes the payment a business payment, which is not offered Cancel and refund: see Cancel a Vault and get your money back.
- The name and address on the invoice are the ones you enter on Stripe's page. Check them before you pay: an invoice is made from them.
Plans are taxed from the billing address in the same way on their own checkout, which has no box for a VAT number.
Invoices
- Click your name or picture at the top right (on a narrow screen, the menu button), then My Account and My Vaults, and click Open on the Vault.
- In Payments each payment has the date, what it was for, the total and a link
Invoiceto the invoice on Stripe's page; a wider screen also shows the price, and the VAT where VAT was charged. A change that cost nothing has no invoice.
A Vault that renews by itself has one invoice for every renewal. Click Update my card or see invoices on the Vault's page to open Stripe's billing portal. What the portal offers is set in Stripe, not in Panoramr. Every invoice you have, for plans and for Vaults, is also listed under Plan & billing in the left menu, each with an Invoice link.
A payment for several Vaults is listed on each of them with the whole amount and the same invoice.
If somebody else paid for the Vault, for example the creator who handed you the tour, the amounts and the invoice are theirs: you see that the Vault was paid for, without the figures.
Refunds
All money goes back to the card that paid. How long your bank takes to show it is the bank's. A credit note is made for the refund in Stripe, with the VAT in proportion.
| Why | How much |
|---|---|
| You canceled within 14 days, with a billing address in the UK or the EEA | All of what you paid (after any promotion code), the VAT with it |
| A payment could not be applied because the Vault changed while you were paying | All of it, and we mail you |
| Anything else | The team decides: contact us |
In the list of payments a refund shows as paid back once Stripe reports it as done, and as on its way back until then. A term is never shortened by a refund, except when a whole payment is canceled.
Troubleshooting
There is no VAT on my payment. VAT is added only where Panoramr is registered to collect it for the billing address you gave. Where Stripe's page asks for a VAT number, adding yours can change the VAT too.
The invoice has the wrong name, address or VAT number. The details are the ones typed on Stripe's page when you paid, and Panoramr does not change an invoice itself. Contact us with the invoice and what it should read.
I cannot find the invoice of a Vault someone else paid for. The invoice is made out to the person who paid, so they have it. Ask them for a copy.
My refund has not arrived. How long your bank takes to show it is the bank's. If the payment still reads on its way back on the Vault's page after that, or the card has been closed, contact us with the date and the amount.
