The short answer
Panoramr emails you when something happens that you would want to know about or act on: confirming your address, choosing a password, a change to your account's security, an invitation, a Vault receipt or a notice about a Vault, and what became of a report. Likes, comments, new followers and most other news are only in the bell, never emailed. There is no setting in your account that turns these emails off or chooses between them.
Account and security
| When it is sent | Good to know | |
|---|---|---|
| Confirm your email address | You sign up, or ask for another link | The subject begins Welcome to Panoramr: confirm your email. The link is good for 7 days. Sign up and confirm your email |
| The welcome, with first steps | Once, when your address has been confirmed | Sent however you confirmed it |
| A link to choose a new password | You use Forgot password | The link is good for 60 minutes |
| Your password was changed | You reset it, or change it in your profile | It has a way to say it was not you |
| Your email address was changed | You change the address on your account | It goes to the old address and names the new one. If it was not you, it tells you to choose a new password, which signs everyone else out |
| Two-factor authentication turned on or off | You turn it on or off | If it was not you, choose a new password at once. Set up two-factor authentication |
| Your account was deleted | You delete it, or our team does | It goes to the address the account had. The account is kept closed for 30 days, and the mail says until when and how to ask for it back. Delete your account |
| Your account was restored | Our team restores a deleted account | It has a link to choose a new password, because whoever deleted the account may have known the old one. Get your deleted account back |
Tours and teams
| When it is sent | To whom | |
|---|---|---|
| An invitation to collaborate on a tour | The owner invites an address that has no account | The person invited. The link carries the invitation |
| An invitation to join an account's team | The owner, or a team member who may invite, invites an address as a team member (Add team members to your account) | The address invited, whether or not it has an account. The link opens a page that asks them to join; the invitation is open for 14 days |
| You now have access to a tour | The owner adds someone who has an account | The person added. There is also a line in the bell |
| A tour is offered to you | The owner offers you ownership (Transfer a tour) | The person offered, with a line in the bell |
| A tour handover | A tour is offered, taken, withdrawn, turned down, runs out or cannot be moved (Hand a tour over to a client) | The creator, the client or both. A client may have no account yet |
Vaults, plans and limits
| When it is sent | To whom | |
|---|---|---|
| The receipt for a Vault | A Vault is bought, extended, upgraded or renewed | The buyer. It has the price, the VAT and a link to Stripe's page for the payment |
| A notice about a Vault | It ends, renews, fails to be paid, has no tour, is cancelled and similar | The owner, and people who look after the tour and asked for it. Vault hosting |
| A tour left plan hosting | A tour no longer fits your plan's hosting and is private | The owner. Nothing is deleted |
| You are close to a limit | You pass 80% of a limit of your plan: uploads, plan hosting, Explore or the asset library | The account owner, once for each limit you cross; one email when several are crossed together. The mail says it is the only one while your usage stays where it is |
Reports
| When it is sent | To whom | |
|---|---|---|
| We have your report | You report a tour, a picture, a post or a person | You. It has the reference, and a link only you can use to see what became of it |
| What we decided about your report | A person has decided | You |
| A decision about something of yours | A decision asks something of you or restricts what is yours | The owner. It says what and why, and has the link to ask for a second look |
| The result of a second look | A second look has been decided | The owner |
Report a tour, a picture, a post or a person describes the form and what each side is told.
What is only in the bell
These are never emailed: likes, comments and new followers; a tour of yours is ready after an upload; a download is ready; a tour or Panoramr of yours is picked for Explore; a brand you deleted that tours showed; and notices about a picture of yours, where the picture check is in use. Notifications lists them all.
Where they come from
Emails come from Panoramr's sender address and are answered through the contact page, or at moc.rmaronap@tcatnoc. A mail is sent a moment after the event, not inside the page you were on, so a delay of a minute or two is normal.
Troubleshooting
The email did not arrive. Wait a few minutes, then look in your spam or junk folder, and check the address on your account. For the confirmation email, ask for another link: Sign up and confirm your email shows where.
The link does not work. A confirmation link is good for 7 days and a password link for 60 minutes. Ask for a new one.
I got an email about my account that I did not expect. If it is about a changed address, a changed password or two-factor authentication and it was not you, choose a new password at once with Forgot password: that signs every other session out. Then write to us through the contact page.
