Choose your creator profile address (vanity URL)
Choose the username in your public creator address: what Panoramr converts, which names are taken or kept, and how the old address redirects after a change.

The short answer
Your public creator page has an address you can change: panoramr.com/creator/<username>. Click your name or picture at the top right (on a narrow screen, the menu button), then My Account. On the My profile page type a new name into Username (Profile URL) under My details and click Save Profile. Panoramr converts what you type into lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, and the old address redirects to the new one.
The username is the address, and it is unique. The name shown on your posts and profile is your Creator Name, which does not have to be unique and can change without moving the address: see Fill in your creator profile and join the Hire a Creator directory.
Change your username
- Click your name or picture, then My Account. The My profile page opens with the My details card.
- Type the name you want into Username (Profile URL). The start of the address is shown in front of the box. It takes up to 255 characters.
- Click Save Profile. The button reads Saved for a moment.
If you never choose one, your address ends with your name and five random letters and numbers, for example jane-doe-x4k2p.
What Panoramr converts
Panoramr converts what you type before it checks it, so a space or a capital is not an error:
| You type | Your username is |
|---|---|
My Cool Agency! |
my-cool-agency |
Café Münchën |
cafe-munchen |
my_name |
my-name |
my.name |
myname |
john@doe |
john-at-doe |
Capitals become lowercase, spaces and underscores become hyphens, accented letters become plain letters, and @ becomes at. Other punctuation is dropped. Repeated hyphens become one, and a hyphen at either end is dropped. A name with nothing left after that, such as one written only in Japanese or Chinese characters, is refused with The slug field is required.
Names you cannot use
- A name another account has.
The slug has already been taken. - A name Panoramr keeps.
That handle is kept. Please choose another. The kept names are admin, administrator, root, system, staff, team, support, help, contact, info, hello, official, panoramr, moderator, mod, security, abuse, billing, sales, press, legal, privacy, terms, api, tourhq, null, undefined, me, you, everyone and all. Only the whole name is refused:support-teamis allowed. - A name that is only digits is saved, but
/creator/42is looked up as a username and as account number 42, and can open either. Add a letter so that the address is yours alone.
The old address
- After a change,
panoramr.com/creator/<old username>sends visitors to the new address with a permanent redirect. It keeps doing so for every name you have had, as long as no other account has taken that name. - The social site's profile address,
app.panoramr.com/@<username>, uses the same username. Its old address is not redirected: it shows the page-not-found page. - The address of a single tour is separate. Change it with Tour Link (Vanity URL) on the tour's Tour tab (in the Advanced view): see Share a tour.
Anyone who has the address can open your creator page. If you delete your account, the page and the username go with it: see Delete your account.
Troubleshooting
The slug has already been taken. Another account has that name. Choose another.
That handle is kept. Please choose another. The whole name is in the list above. Choose another, or add a word to it.
The slug field is required. Nothing was left after the conversion. Use letters from A to Z or numbers.
My old address shows a page-not-found page. On the social site (app.panoramr.com/@<username>) old addresses are not redirected. On panoramr.com/creator/<old username> the redirect stops if another account has taken that name.
The address I typed is not the one I got. See the table above: Panoramr saves the converted name.
