On this page

A tour can show every room in two ways: a grid of pictures, and a list of names. Both open in the Media window over the tour, and a visitor presses a picture or a name to go to that room. This page lists every setting of the two, in the order the Media window panel (Design tab > Media window) in the Design tab shows them, then the settings of the links to them in the side menu. What the window itself is and what opens it: The Media window.

Who can use it. The owner and, by default, an Admin collaborator can open the Design tab. Every plan has both. The Media window panel is in the Advanced view only; the Basic view does not list it. A tour on a Free plan that wears a Pro theme and has never been hosted shows visitors the free Default look.

When visitors get a change. The preview beside the panels shows it at once. Visitors get it after you click Save & Render, or after Publish changes when the tour uses Draft Workflows (My changes do not show for visitors).

Room pictures

These settings are on the Pictures tab, in the cards Room pictures and Groups. The grid shows a picture of every room with its name. On a screen 768 pixels wide or narrower the grid fits as many pictures as it can in a row, whatever Grid image size and Thumbnails per row say.

The words for the grid.

Where: the Media window panel (Design tab > Media window), Pictures tab > card Room pictures > Modal button label. Advanced view. Default: View all Panos What it does: Names the grid wherever it appears: the tab in the Media window, the side menu's link and the tooltip of the Room Pictures icon in a bar. An empty field shows the default words. What visitors see: That text on the tab and the link. Related: Room Pictures.

Grid image size

How big each picture is.

Where: the Media window panel (Design tab > Media window), Pictures tab > card Room pictures > Grid image size. Advanced view. Default: Medium (medium) What it does: Small, Medium or Large: pictures at least 180, 280 and 380 pixels wide, as many to a row as fit. It gives way to Thumbnails per row when that is set. What visitors see: Smaller or larger pictures in the grid.

Thumbnails per row

A fixed number of pictures in each row.

Where: the Media window panel (Design tab > Media window), Pictures tab > card Room pictures > Thumbnails per row. Advanced view. Default: Auto-fit (responsive) (auto) What it does: Auto-fit (responsive) fits as many as the window allows. A number from 3 to 8 (3 thumbnails to 8 thumbnails) fixes the count. What visitors see: That many pictures in each row, on a screen wider than 768 pixels.

How wide the window with the grid is.

Where: the Media window panel (Design tab > Media window), Pictures tab > card Room pictures > Modal max width. Advanced view. Default: Standard width (standard) What it does: Standard width, Wide layout (up to 1,600 pixels and 98 percent of the screen) or Full width (the whole screen). What visitors see: The Media window at that width while the grid is open.

Group by categories

Show the pictures under the name of their group.

Where: the Media window panel (Design tab > Media window), Pictures tab > card Groups > Group by categories. Advanced view. Default: off What it does: Puts the rooms under a heading for each group of panoramas, in the order of the groups, with the rooms that have no group last under the ungrouped label. Without any group in the tour, the grid stays one block. What visitors see: Headings between the pictures. Needs: Panoramas in groups on the Panoramas tab.

Category filter

A row of buttons that shows one group at a time.

Where: the Media window panel (Design tab > Media window), Pictures tab > card Groups > Category filter. Advanced view. It shows while Group by categories is on. Default: off What it does: Adds a row of your groups across the top, with All first. What visitors see: A press shows that group's pictures alone without headings; All shows every group again under its heading. The row appears only where the tour has more than one group. Needs: Group by categories on, and more than one group.

Room list

These settings are on the Room list tab. The list is a tab of the Media window that lists every room by name. It is there when a bar has its List All Rooms icon on: tick the icon in the panel of the bar you want it in (the Icon bar, the Top nav bar – dropdown, the Top nav bar – multi menu, Mobile navigation or the foot links of the Side nav – list menu).

List All Rooms

How the room list is switched on.

Where: The Icons tab of a bar's panel, or Arrange & toggle icons in the side menu's Foot links: the row List All Rooms. Advanced view for the side menu; Basic and Advanced for the Icon bar. Default: off in every bar What it does: Adds a button to that bar, and gives the Media window its room list tab. There is no switch for the list in the Media window panel: it is there when any bar has the icon on. What visitors see: The button with the tooltip View All Rooms, and the list when they press it. Related: Icon bar settings.

Button label

The words for the room list.

Where: the Media window panel (Design tab > Media window), Room list tab > card Room list > Button label. Advanced view. Default: View All Rooms What it does: Names the tab in the Media window and the side menu's link to the list. What visitors see: That text on the tab and the link. An empty field shows the default words.

Group by categories (Room list tab)

Show the names under the name of their group.

Where: the Media window panel (Design tab > Media window), Room list tab > card Room list > Group by categories. Advanced view. Default: on What it does: Puts the names under a heading for each group, in the order of the groups. Rooms with no group go last under the ungrouped label. Off, the list is one list. What visitors see: The room names in groups, side by side in columns. A tour with no groups shows all its rooms under one heading, Other Panoramas, while this is on; switch it off to show a plain list. Needs: Panoramas in groups on the Panoramas tab.

Columns

How many columns the list has.

Where: the Media window panel (Design tab > Media window), Room list tab > card Room list > Columns. Advanced view. Default: 3 What it does: 1, 2, 3 or 4. What visitors see: The names flowing into that many columns.

Item spacing

How much room there is between names.

Where: the Media window panel (Design tab > Media window), Room list tab > card Room list > Item spacing. Advanced view. Default: 3 What it does: 1 is the smallest, 5 the largest, 3 the middle. What visitors see: The names closer together or further apart.

Font size

How big the names are.

Where: the Media window panel (Design tab > Media window), Room list tab > card Room list > Font size. Advanced view. Default: 3 What it does: 1 is the smallest, 5 the largest, 3 the middle. What visitors see: Larger or smaller names and group headings.

Font family

The font of the list.

Where: the Media window panel (Design tab > Media window), Style tab > card Room list style > Font family. Advanced view. Default: Default (default) What it does: Default, Inter, Roboto, Outfit or Montserrat. Left on Default, the list wears the Media window's font, which follows the tour's theme. What visitors see: The names in that font, if the visitor's browser has it; otherwise the browser's own.

Background colour

The color behind the list.

Where: the Media window panel (Design tab > Media window), Style tab > card Room list style > Background colour. Advanced view. Default: #1e293b, which counts as "not chosen" What it does: Left as it is, the list wears the Media window's colors, which follow the tour's theme. Any other color is used. What visitors see: The list on that color.

Text colour

The color of the names.

Where: the Media window panel (Design tab > Media window), Style tab > card Room list style > Text colour. Advanced view. Default: #ffffff, which counts as "not chosen" What it does: Left as it is, the names wear the Media window's text color. Any other color is used. What visitors see: The names in that color.

In the side menu

These settings are in the Side nav – list menu panel (Design tab > Side nav – list menu), Layout tab, card Foot links. They are in the Advanced view.

Room Pictures

Add a link to the grid of pictures to the foot of the side menu, and let the bars have the icon.

Where: the Side nav – list menu panel (Design tab > Side nav – list menu), Layout tab > card Foot links > Arrange & toggle icons > Room Pictures. Advanced view. Default: on What it does: Switches the link to the grid on. The Room Pictures icon of a bar is also left out of that bar while this is off. What visitors see: The link at the foot of the side menu, and the icon in the bars that have it. Related: Modal button label.

Show icons as

Show the foot links with words or as a row of icons.

Where: the Side nav – list menu panel (Design tab > Side nav – list menu), Layout tab > card Foot links > Show icons as. Advanced view. Default: Text and icon (text_icon for the grid link) What it does: One choice sets the display mode of the three links the foot has always had: the grid, the room list and the floor plan. Icons drops the words from each. This setting is the grid link's part of it; the room list link's part is the next section. What visitors see: Links with words, or small round icons in a row. Related: Show icons as (room list link), below.

The room list link's part of the same choice.

Where: The same control: the Side nav – list menu panel (Design tab > Side nav – list menu), Layout tab > card Foot links > Show icons as. Advanced view. It has no control of its own. Default: Text and icon (text_icon) What it does: Show icons as writes it together with the grid link's and the floor plan's mode, so the three always agree. A tour saved with a mix shows its words until its owner chooses. What visitors see: The room list link at the foot of the side menu with its words, or as a small round icon. Related: Show icons as.

Settings with no control

Enable room list

An older switch for the list. The panel has no field for it any more.

Where: Nowhere in the Design tab. The switch went when the room list became "there when a bar has its List All Rooms icon on". Default: off What it does: Nothing you set. The tour's data now says the list is in use when any bar has the icon on; the old value only decides the side menu's link for a tour saved before. What visitors see: Nothing from this value itself. Related: List All Rooms.

Show in the side menu

An older tick for the side menu's link to the list. The panel has no field for it any more.

Where: Nowhere in the Design tab. The link now has one switch of its own, List All Rooms in the side menu's Foot links. Default: on What it does: Only for a tour saved before the change: its link is there where both old settings were on. What visitors see: Nothing from this value itself. Related: List All Rooms.

Troubleshooting

There is no room list. No bar has its List All Rooms icon on. Switch it on in a bar's panel.

My picture grid ignores the number of thumbnails per row. On a screen 768 pixels wide or narrower the grid fits as many as it can. Group by categories also needs groups.

The Room Pictures button is missing from a bar. It is left out while Room Pictures is off in the side menu's Foot links.

I cannot find the settings. The Media window panel is in the Advanced view only.
