The bottom nav is a strip of room thumbnails at the foot of the tour: a visitor clicks a picture to go to that room. This page lists every setting of the Bottom nav - thumbnails panel (Design tab > Bottom nav – thumbnails) in the Design tab, in the order the panel shows them. To choose which bars a tour has, start with Customize the player's bars, sidebar and gallery.
Who can use it. The owner and, by default, an Admin collaborator can open the Design tab; it is not open to Editors or Viewers. Every plan has the strip. In the Basic view the panel shows Enable bottom nav, When the tour opens, Layout position and Maximum width; the Advanced view adds the margin and the thumbnail sizes. A tour on a Free plan that wears a Pro theme and has never been hosted shows visitors the free Default look, which has the strip on when the tour has two or more panoramas: see What visitors get.
When visitors get a change. The preview beside the panels shows it at once. Visitors get it after you click Save & Render, or after Publish changes when the tour uses Draft Workflows (My changes do not show for visitors).
Turn the strip on
Enable bottom nav
The switch at the top of the panel puts the strip of thumbnails at the foot of the tour. It starts on.
Where: the Bottom nav - thumbnails panel (Design tab > Bottom nav – thumbnails), the switch at the top. Basic and Advanced view.
Default: on
What it does: Adds a thumbnail for every room. Switching it on switches the Info and media panel off, because the panel takes the strip's place at the foot of the player; while the panel is on, this panel says so in yellow.
What visitors see: A strip of room pictures with the rooms' names at the foot of the player. A tour with only one panorama has no strip. With the switch off there is none.

When it opens and where it sits
These settings are on the Behaviour tab, in the card Opening.
When the tour opens
Chooses how the strip is when the tour first appears.
Where: the Bottom nav - thumbnails panel (Design tab > Bottom nav – thumbnails), Behaviour tab > card Opening > When the tour opens. Basic and Advanced view.
Default: Open (open)
What it does: Closed starts it folded away, Open as one row of thumbnails, and Open max as the larger grid. A tour saved before this setting existed opens as Open.
What visitors see: The strip in that state. They can still close, open or maximise it with the three small buttons on its tab (the tooltips are Minimize Gallery, Normal View and Expanded View).
Related: Per row (expanded layout).
Layout position
Chooses the shape of the strip: a pill with a gap around it, or a strip along the whole edge.
Where: the Bottom nav - thumbnails panel (Design tab > Bottom nav – thumbnails), Behaviour tab > card Opening > Layout position. Basic and Advanced view.
Default: Floating pill (floating)
What it does: Floating pill is a rounded bar that stands above the bottom edge by the margin. Edge strip attaches to the bottom edge with square corners and no gap.
What visitors see: A pill in the middle of the foot of the player, or a strip along it. The strip makes way for the side menu when that is open at the left or the right.
Related: Bottom margin (px), Maximum width.
Bottom margin (px)
Sets the gap between the pill and the bottom edge.
Where: the Bottom nav - thumbnails panel (Design tab > Bottom nav – thumbnails), Behaviour tab > card Spacing > Bottom margin (px). Advanced view.
Default: 5 pixels
What it does: A number from 0 to 100. The hint says: clearance beneath the thumbnails. It lifts a floating pill; an Edge strip sits at the edge.
What visitors see: The pill that many pixels above the bottom. The Pan and zoom bar and the Icon bar keep clear of the strip by its height and this margin.
Related: Layout position.
Size
These settings are on the Size tab.
Maximum width
Sets how wide the strip may be.
Where: the Bottom nav - thumbnails panel (Design tab > Bottom nav – thumbnails), Size tab > card Width > Maximum width. Basic and Advanced view.
Default: Standard (75%) (standard)
What it does: Four choices: Compact (50%), Standard (75%), Wide (95%) and Full screen (100%). The strip is as wide as its thumbnails need, up to that share of the window. Full screen (100%) takes the whole width and squares the corners. A strip wider than the window scrolls sideways, with an arrow at each end.
What visitors see: A strip that stops at that share of the width. When the side menu is open, a full-width strip makes room for it.
Standard size
Sets how big the thumbnails are in the one-row strip.
Where: the Bottom nav - thumbnails panel (Design tab > Bottom nav – thumbnails), Size tab > card Thumbnails > Standard size. Advanced view.
Default: Medium (medium)
What it does: Small, Medium or Large.
What visitors see: Smaller or bigger pictures in the row.
Related: Extended view size.
Extended view size
Sets how big the thumbnails are in the larger grid.
Where: the Bottom nav - thumbnails panel (Design tab > Bottom nav – thumbnails), Size tab > card Thumbnails > Extended view size. Advanced view.
Default: Medium (medium)
What it does: Small, Medium or Large. It counts only while the strip is in its expanded view.
What visitors see: The pictures at that size after they press Expanded View, or from the start with Open max.
Needs: The expanded view, which a visitor opens or When the tour opens sets to Open max.
Related: Standard size.
Per row (expanded layout)
Sets how many thumbnails the larger grid has on a row.
Where: the Bottom nav - thumbnails panel (Design tab > Bottom nav – thumbnails), Size tab > card Thumbnails > Per row (expanded layout). Advanced view.
Default: Auto-fit (auto)
What it does: Auto-fit, or 3 to 8 thumbnails. Auto-fit puts as many on a row as the current width holds; a number fixes it, and never more than the tour has rooms.
What visitors see: The grid that wide when it is expanded. In the one-row strip nothing changes.
Needs: The expanded view.
A setting with no control
Gallery toggle button
A small button for the strip that no panel shows.
Where: Nowhere in the Design tab.
Default: off
What it does: The page is always made with it off, so the separate button that was meant to bring back a minimized strip is hidden. The page's own copy of the button, if it were shown, opens the Media Window on its room pictures, not the strip.
What visitors see: No such button. A minimized strip is brought back with the buttons on its own tab.
Troubleshooting
There is no strip at the foot of my tour. Check Enable bottom nav. The tour needs two or more panoramas, and the Info and media panel must be off. On a screen 768 pixels wide or narrower the strip is not shown unless Room Pictures is ticked under Top bar features in Mobile navigation. A change that is not saved or published does not reach visitors yet.
The strip covers my icon bar or the zoom buttons. The bars at the foot of the player lift themselves above the strip unless the strip stops short of them; raise Bottom margin (px) or choose a narrower Maximum width to see the difference.
The thumbnails show a dark color. The pictures load after the first room has appeared, so the strip does not slow it down; until then each thumbnail is a plain dark color.
