The short answer

Click your name or picture at the top right (on a phone or a narrow window, the menu button), then My Account, then Creator profile. Fill in the boxes and click Save Profile. To appear in the Hire a Creator directory, fill in six of them, tick Publish My Profile to the Worldwide Panoramr Creator Directory and save. Every account can (a free-trial account has to sign up first): there is no plan to have and no approval step.

On the social site, the pencil icon on your own profile opens the same form at app.panoramr.com/profile/edit. You can also click your picture on your own profile there: it asks for a new one and saves it straight away, without Save Profile.

The boxes

Box Limit Where it shows
Creator Name (Display name) 25 characters Your name everywhere people see it: posts, comments, notifications, your profiles, search, the creator card on your tours. See Your Creator Name
Company Name 100 characters Your directory card; your name everywhere else while the Creator Name is empty; under your name on your creator page when it is another
Website URL A full address such as https://yourdomain.com The Visit Website button on your creator page and the creator card
Creator Bio 300 words Your creator page, the first two lines of your directory card, the creator card
Profile Banner / Header An image up to 10 MB; it is cropped from the middle to 1920 x 800 pixels The banner of your creator page and of your social profile
Company Logo / Avatar An image up to 5 MB; its shorter side is brought down to 512 pixels, nothing is cut off The picture beside your name in the header, on posts, comments and notifications, and on your directory card
Public Contact Email An email address The Contact button on your directory card
Public Phone Number Up to 50 characters Nowhere: no page shows it
Country and State / County / Province Chosen from lists The place on your directory card
Street Address / Display City Up to 255 characters Searched by the directory; shown on the card only when no country or state gives a place

The page converts a picture to a JPEG before sending it, and shrinks a logo wider than 1,024 pixels or a banner wider than 1,920, so transparent areas are not kept. Panoramr then keeps one copy of each at its size, and not the file you chose: the banner cropped from the middle to 1,920 x 800 pixels (a smaller picture is cropped to that shape, not enlarged), the logo with its shape kept and its shorter side at 512 pixels at most. A new picture replaces the old one, which is deleted. Camera data is removed: see What Panoramr keeps about your photos.

Your Creator Name

The name people see is your Creator Name (Display name). While that box is empty it is your Company Name, and while that is empty too it is the name your account was made with. As you type, the line under the box says how it will be shown, with your username: Shown as: <name> · @<username>. Then click Save Profile.

  • It is up to 25 characters, so that it fits on a card. A longer company name shown in its place is shortened on cards with …, and the form says so.
  • It does not have to be unique: your username is what is unique, and it is shown beside the name on your profile and in search. Changing the name never changes your address. To change the address, see Choose your creator profile address.
  • It cannot hold a link or an email address, and names the team keeps, such as Panoramr, Support or Admin, are refused with That name is kept. Please choose another.
  • While another name is shown, the name your account was made with stays private: it is used for billing and email, and people search for you by your Creator Name, company name or username. Notifications that were sent before a change keep the name they were sent with.

If a box is refused, the form says Not saved. Check the fields marked above. beside Save Profile and puts the cursor in the first box with a problem.

Join the directory

  1. Fill in Company Name, Website URL, Creator Bio, Country, State / County / Province and Public Contact Email. Until you do, the switch is dimmed and cannot be ticked, and the page says Required fields to enable listing: Company Name, Website URL, Creator Bio, Country, State/County, and Public Contact Email.
  2. Tick Publish My Profile to the Worldwide Panoramr Creator Directory. The page then says All required fields complete. You can now enable public listing.
  3. Click Save Profile. The button reads Saved for a moment.

Your card is listed as soon as you save. To leave, untick the switch and save. If you empty one of the six boxes, the switch unticks itself; save to apply it.

Visitors search for words in your company name, your bio, your Street Address / Display City and your state or county. A UK county is stored by its name, so it is found; your country is stored as a code, so it is not found by name. To be found by city or country, write them in Street Address / Display City, for example Leeds, United Kingdom.

What the directory shows

Anyone can open it, signed in or not: click Hire a Creator in the site header. Visitors search by City or town, sort by Most tours published or Name A–Z, and see 24 creators a page. A card shows:

  • Your logo, or the first letter of your company name, and the company name, which links to your creator page.
  • A place: your state and country, else your Street Address / Display City, else Works remotely.
  • The first two lines of your bio.
  • How many tours you have listed on Explore, and up to three of them, featured ones first, then the newest.
  • View profile, and Contact, a mail link to your Public Contact Email.

The phone number is never shown. Your account's own email address is not shown either: only the Public Contact Email is. The search box looks in the company name, the bio, the address box and the county or state.

Your creator page

Every account has a creator page at www.panoramr.com/creator/<username>. Choose your creator profile address explains the username. The page shows your banner, picture, your name (your Creator Name, else your company name) with your company name under it when it is another, bio, Follow and Visit Website, and the counts of posts, followers and following. Under Featured it lists tours that are on Explore and that you marked with Mark as featured tour on the Tour tab; then come your Explore tours and your posts under All, Tours and Panoramrs. It shows no contact details.

Your profile on the social site, app.panoramr.com/@<username>, shows your picture, banner, name and username, and one line of text that is the same for everyone instead of your bio. Its share button opens your device's own share sheet where the browser has one, and otherwise the Share Profile window with X, Facebook, Email and a Copy button for the link.

Troubleshooting

You see What it means and what to do
The listing switch cannot be ticked One of the six boxes is empty. For a country with no states or provinces in the list (Gibraltar and Jersey are two), State / County / Province stays dimmed and so does the switch
The website url field must be a valid URL. Type the full address, starting with https://
We could not read that image. Export it again as a JPEG, PNG or WebP and try again. Export the picture again
The avatar field must not be greater than 5120 kilobytes. or The header image field must not be greater than 10240 kilobytes. Choose a smaller file
You are not in the directory Check that the switch is ticked and saved. The list has 24 to a page, most tours first, so look on later pages. The place box finds words in your company name, bio and Street Address / Display City
No Contact button on your card The Public Contact Email box is empty
You are sent to the Check your inbox page when you open the form Your email address is not confirmed and the amber bar says Your email address is not confirmed yet. Confirm it to use your account: we have sent you a link. See Sign up, confirm your email and sign in
