On this page

When someone likes or comments on your Panoramr or tour, or follows you, it appears on the page headed Notifications. This page covers the social site, app.panoramr.com/notifications; the bell, every other kind of notice and how long they are kept are in Notifications: the bell, what causes one and how long they stay. The switch at the top of the page, Email me when an idea I voted for ships, is explained there too.

What you get on the social site

What happens The row says
Someone likes your post or tour <name> liked your post. or <name> liked your tour.
Someone comments on it <name> commented on your post: "<the start of the comment>", or your tour
Someone follows you <name> started following you.

Each row shows the person's picture and name (both open their profile), what they did, and how long ago. A notice from Panoramr itself, such as a Panoramr pick, has a bold title instead of a name. You get nothing for your own likes and comments, and none of these are emailed.

Open the page

  1. On the social site, tap the bell in the bar at the bottom, between the plus button and your picture.
  2. Tap View all notifications at the foot of the list, or open app.panoramr.com/notifications directly.

The list is 20 to a page, newest first, with Previous and Next when there are more. With none it says No notifications yet.

Read and unread

An unread row has a tinted background and a bar down its left edge. Tapping a row marks it read and opens what it is about: the post or tour, or the person's profile. If the save fails, the row still opens and stays unread when you come back.

How long they stay

A daily job deletes notifications when they are 30 days old, read or not. A like or follow is told once for each person while its first notice is still kept, so liking and unliking again does not make a second row. If a post is deleted, the likes and comments notices that point at it go with it.

Troubleshooting

I liked or followed and nobody was told. The notice is made the first time only, and not for a like or comment on your own post. If a block stands between the two of you, the like or follow is refused (Like, comment, follow and block on Panoramr).

A row opens a page that says it is not found. The post or tour was deleted, or its owner took it off the site.
