Take over a tour from the person who made it
A creator offered you a tour. Look at it first, choose or buy a Vault, and take it over: it moves into your account. What you pay, what they keep, saying no.

The short answer
When somebody has made a tour for you and offered it, you get an email, <name> wants you to take over "<tour>", and, if you already had a confirmed account, a line in the bell. While the offer is open a banner with a Take over button also shows at the top of the app. Open the link: the page A tour for you lets you look at the tour first, then take it over with a Vault. The tour moves into your account, hosted without Panoramr branding. Until you take it over it is still the creator's, and nothing has cost you anything.
Take it over
- Click the button in the email, the banner at the top of the app, or the line in the bell. If you have no account, make one with the address the email came to and confirm it: the offer is for that address, so nobody else can take the tour.
- Click Look at the tour first. It opens in a new tab as visitors would see it.
- Read what the page says: how many panoramas the tour has, the creator's message, and what the creator keeps afterwards (
administrator access, editing access, viewing access, or nothing). - Take it over:
- The creator paid. The section Nothing to pay says which Vault, and until when. Click Take over the tour. The Vault becomes yours with the tour, and you can extend it whenever you like.
- You pay. Under Choose a Vault, if you already have an empty Vault that holds the tour, click Use this one. Otherwise click Buy a Vault and take over the tour. The page suggests a size and gives its price for a year, and for 3 or 5 years paid at once; the buying page is the one in Buy a Vault before you have a tour, with the tour already chosen. When the payment is done the tour starts to move.
The tour then moves into your account with everything in it: panoramas, floor plans, files and settings. They are copied and checked before the tour changes owner. A big tour takes longer. You can leave the page: we email you when it has arrived, and the page takes you to the tour.
After it is yours
- The tour is in your list of tours, hosted in your Vault, without Panoramr branding. If you bought the Vault for it, the tour is published: anyone with its link can open it and it can be embedded. If the creator paid, it is as the creator left it, private or published. It is not listed on Explore unless the creator had listed it. To change who can see it, tick or untick Published on its Hosting tab and click Save Settings.
- The creator keeps what they chose when they made the offer. You can change or remove that in the tour's Settings tab (in the Advanced view), under Project Collaborators. The creator also gets the mails about the Vault ending if they kept that choice when they made the offer (it is on to begin with). To stop that, remove them from the tour.
- You own the Vault. Its page is under My Vaults; the reminders go to you, and you extend it from there: see What happens when a Vault ends.
- How canceling a Vault works: see Cancel a Vault and get your money back.
Say no
Click Turn this tour down at the bottom of the page and confirm. The creator is told, and the tour stays theirs. If you do nothing, the offer runs out after 30 days.
Troubleshooting
The page says the offer has run out. Offers last 30 days. Ask the creator to offer the tour again.
The page says the owner has withdrawn the offer. Nothing was charged. Ask the creator whether they meant to.
It says my account cannot hold the panoramas. The panoramas of the tour count toward what your account can upload, and a Vault adds its own size. Delete panoramas you do not need, or buy a bigger Vault.
The page says Vaults are not on sale yet. Come back later: the offer stays open until its date.
It says the Vault is spoken for by another tour, or has ended, or holds fewer panoramas. Choose another of your Vaults, or buy a new one for this tour.
The tour is moving and I cannot change it. A tour cannot be edited while its files move. The page says the tour is moving and takes you to the tour when it has arrived; you can leave it, and we email you.
It says Something stopped the move. We have been told and will finish it. The move did not finish. Nothing has changed in your account, the tour is still the creator's, and the Vault you bought is still yours. We look into it, and you get an email when the tour has arrived. It says This offer ended when an account was closed. Ask the creator to offer the tour again.
I get a 404 page. You are signed in with another account, or your account's address is not confirmed yet. Sign in with the account that has the address the email came to, and confirm that address.
I did not expect this offer. Do not take it over. Turn it down, and if you think it is abuse, see Report a tour, a picture, a post or a person.
