The short answer
On the social site, app.panoramr.com, the heart under a post or tour likes it, the speech bubble opens its comments, Follow follows its creator, and the three-dot menu on a post, tour or profile lets you block the person. On the website, www.panoramr.com, you can like and follow but not comment or block. You must be signed in, and commenting needs a confirmed email address. A free-trial account cannot like, follow, comment or block: it shows Create a free account to do this. Your guest tour comes with you.
Where the controls are
| Control | Social site | Website |
|---|---|---|
| Like | The heart under a feed card, and on a post's or tour's own page | The heart beside Report on a tour's or post's page |
| Comment | The speech-bubble button; the thread is on the post's or tour's own page | No comments there |
| Follow | Follow on a feed card and on a post's, tour's or profile page | Follow on the creator card of a tour or post, and on a creator's page |
| Block | The three-dot menu on a post, tour or profile | No block button |
Signed out, the heart and the website's Follow button take you to the sign-in page.
Like
A person has one like for each post or tour. Click the heart again to take it back. The number beside it counts the likes. The owner gets one notification for each person who likes, and none for a like on their own post. There is no list of who liked.
Comment
- Open the post or tour on the social site and click the speech-bubble button. A box opens at the bottom of the page.
- Type your comment and click Post.
The thread lists the newest comment first, with who wrote it and how long ago. On the feed, the speech bubble under a post opens a Comments sheet with the same rules. To comment on a tour, open the tour's own page.
| Rule | What happens |
|---|---|
| Length | Up to 1,000 characters |
| Words | A comment with a word from a short list of severely offensive English words is refused. Only whole words count, and an edit is checked again |
| Pace | Posting or editing: 6 a minute and 60 an hour |
| Replies | None: a comment is on the post or tour itself |
| A refused length or word | Your text stays in the box and the page shows no message |
Each comment has a three-dot button when you are signed in.
| You are | The menu has |
|---|---|
| The comment's author | Edit Comment: change the text, then Save or Cancel. And Delete |
| The owner of the post or tour | Remove Comment and Report Flag |
| Anyone else | Report Flag |
Deleting or removing asks Permanently delete this comment?. Report Flag tells our team and shows Comment flagged for administrative review. A flag does not hide the comment. To report a post, a tour or a person, see Report a tour, a picture, a post or a person.
Follow and unfollow
Click Follow on a post, a tour, a profile or a creator's page. It then reads Following; click it again to unfollow. On some pages it reads Unfollow when you point at it. The person is notified the first time you follow, not again if you unfollow and follow later.
Following fills the Following tab of the social feed and the choice People I follow on the website's Explore page. Anyone, signed in or not, can open app.panoramr.com/@<username>/followers and app.panoramr.com/@<username>/following: names, usernames and pictures, 20 to a page. Click the followers or following count on a profile to get there. You cannot remove a follower, except by blocking them.
Block someone
On the social site only:
- Open the person's post, tour or profile and click the three-dot button.
- Click
Block <name>and confirmBlock <name>? They will not be able to follow you, or like or comment on what you post, and you will not see each other's posts.
A block works both ways, whoever made it:
- Neither of you can follow the other, or like or comment on the other's posts and tours. A like or follow shows
That is not available., and a comment shows it in a window over the page. - Any follow between you ends, and unblocking does not bring it back.
- You are left out of each other's feed, search results, followers and following lists, place pages and comment threads.
- Your social profile gives the blocked person the page-not-found page, and they are not told. You still see theirs, with none of their posts and an Unblock button.
- It does not hide a page from someone who has its address, and what the website's Explore and creator pages list does not apply it (a like or follow made there across a block is still refused).
To see who you blocked, open your own profile on the social site (your picture in the bottom bar) and click the Blocked accounts icon at the top right of its card. app.panoramr.com/blocked lists them, newest first, each with Unblock. It reads You have not blocked anyone. when there is no one.
When your email address is not confirmed
Commenting is held for an account that has not confirmed its email address: you are sent to the Check your inbox page. While the amber bar says Your email address is not confirmed yet. Confirm it to use your account: we have sent you a link., likes, follows and blocks are held too, and on the social site a tap on a heart, or on Follow on a feed card or on a post's or tour's page, shows Your email address is not verified.; Follow on a profile or in a followers or following list takes you to the Check your inbox page instead. See what an unconfirmed account can do.
Troubleshooting
| You see | What it means and what to do |
|---|---|
That is not available. after a like or a follow (a comment shows it in a window over the page) |
A block stands between you and the owner, whoever made it. If you blocked them, unblock them from Blocked accounts. If they blocked you, only they can undo it, and their profile shows you the page-not-found page |
| A comment does not post and nothing happens | It is over 1,000 characters or has a word the filter refuses: no message is shown |
A window reading Too Many Requests opens over the page |
You posted or edited more than 6 comments in a minute (or 60 in an hour). Close the window and wait a minute |
| No Follow button | It is not shown on your own posts and profile, on the profile of a person you blocked, or on the social site when you are signed out |
| Someone you blocked still shows on Explore | What the website's Explore and creator pages list does not apply blocks. A like across a block there is undone without a message |
